At the end of the day there prob isnt anything that can be done now, but if you are a fan with any shred of integrity you know that the rules were broken and it was a fraudulent championship. It has nothing to do with what happened earlier in the season etc bc it came down to equal points at the last last race. Ill never understand people saying Lewis deserved to win in abu dhabi but max deserved the title. Thats not how that works, the winner of this race wins the title and when it came down to it Lewis was owning this race and the latifi crashed which is unfortunate, but it doesnt matter because merc played it perfectly. Merc played by the rules and decided to hold track position because they felt with the amount of laps left the race would not resume ,and there were right, however since masi decided to break the rules and gift Max the win by not only not letting all cars through, but once you let all lapped cars through the rules says you have to do one extra lap. That is what the rules say and that is what has always happened in every SC situation except, yo guessed it this one. If the extra required lap was completed that wouldve been the last lap under the safety car with Lewis finishing P1 and Max P2 with Lewis breaking the record for most drivers championships. Instead Lewis was robbed and despite that people still see this as a great day somehow. The people out there that think this was okay, when you but your whole life into doing something it it is about to all pay off. You are about to be the person standing at the top alone. "Lewis Hamilton 8 Drivers Championships" but instead you are robbed of this because the person who is in charge of the rules that is supposed to be enforcing them gives your rival the win. If you are reading this as a sports fan or just a person in general and you think Max winning was okay here just know you have absolutely 0 integrity in every sense of the word and I would never trust you in anything to play fair.

Such an embarrassment having to squirm about the championship like that. 2021 marked the end of authentic F1

your not quite right about WTF1. It's not that people were just interested in matt and tommy (and katy, don't forget katy) its that people were invested in their perspective about F1, if the new podcast they were doing was not about F1 it would tank.

Great video, I'm the fourth kind of fan. I'm 66 years old and a retired mechanical engineer ... therefore I love all aspects, the deep dive tech, I subscribe to F1TV PRO and watch every practice, qualifying, sprint, race and associated pre and post program. I've attended 5 GP'S live. So I guess I'd be classified as a full blown F1 nerd. I've also grown to really enjoy DTS and the huge variety of podcasts that have grown from the sport, including yours. But I think the most important thing is the point you raised, you can have fun and really enjoy F1 by just watching the race on Sunday or by just watching DTS etc ... you don't have to be hard-core to enjoy. As far as the Pit Stop boys I love their show. They managed to carve out a very unique niche amidst an ocean of other content, perhaps that's the source of animosity. They probably knew that they would step in shit at some point but given full context they didn't mean it to be malicious. At the end of the day they're just a couple of knuckle heads having fun learning about the greatest sport on earth. Keep up the good work.

You are not wrong but you missed a big one. They said the sport needs more crashes because its more entertaining. And they said it to Juan Manuel Correa, who had that terrible crash with Hubert in Spa. People had enough with them because all this time they've had acess to interviews with drivers and people of the sport, access to the paddock in several ocassions , all this while being in it for the money when there are creators that have been making content for years and with much more passion for the sport than them and never had thoses chances. A lot of people already hated those guys now it reached the limit

I don't understand why people are so outraged. When I saw the comments on Twitter, I thought they had said something horrible. But he literally just said people don't care about the races. I don't think any true F1 fans agree with what they said and I think the drivers know it. The comment about not knowing who Marcus was was very rude, but still don't think it justifies the response from the community. He made a stupid comment. That's it. People make mistakes. Don't need to try and tank the podcast because of one little comment. Imagine if every time we said something wrong we had everyone around us freaking out.

I think that's a very vague overview of the situation. A big reason people are so upset is yes, they said that they didn't know who the F2 drivers were and that nobody cares about their racing, but it was the fact they said that to Juan Manuel Correa. It was totally disrespectful and a complete slap in the face for someone who almost lost his life for this sport he loves and lost his friend Anthoine Hubert in the process. Another reason most people are taking it this way is because they pretty much said they don't care about the sport and wanted to do a football podcast but it was so oversaturated. They saw the same opportunity to get into F1 since the market wasn't oversaturated and went that way. Basically they only did it for the money and even asked the F2 drivers if they had gifts for them because everyone else they've ever been on with/got to interview gave them stuff which came off as completely gross. For me I've never cared for their podcast because it was too much of a "lads" thing and the one guy's voice/laugh was just grating, but I won't be surprised if they're no longer welcome to all the interviews/access they had in the past after this travesty of a podcast.
