Yamaha Raider S sound

Here's an old video of my Yamaha Raider S sound with new chrome tail pipes welded on. Removed mufflers from welds and had some tail pipes welded on. Video doesn't do justice but they sound pretty good.

Finally got in a good ride after several weeks of not doing a long ride. Got the call from my Compadre Robert if Id like to go on a ride to The Texas Hill Country and I was ready for it. Soon after met up with the family on the road and continued my ride to Eagle Pass Lucky Eagle Casino for some more fun.
One Last Ride for Alan

Met up with a couple of friends for a little memorial run for Alan here in Laredo Texas. We joined his father for one last ride in Alans memory who passed away in a motorcycle accident RIP. So here is a little video of this Saturdays ride to join his family.

Yamaha Riader S Oil Change & Oil Filter

Finally got my oil changed out again. Was a 1k over due. Here is a smaller video than my previous one. Sorry some dont think I had my GoPro set up right to the horizon settings but still a good video.
Yamaha Raider Front Tire Installed

Finally got around to install my new front tire on the Yamaha Raider S. I have 46,700 miles on her and really needed the front tire as it was all cracked. This is like my 3rd or 4th tire since new. Lets see how many miles I get out to the Michelin Commander III. Have always used Metzlers M888 so lets see how it goes.

Was able to complete The 6th week challenge ride with the guys. For the 2024 Laredo Motorcycle Ride Challenge on Facebook for local riders of Laredo Texas. Here is a small video of it. Cant wait for future rides to come.
Zapata Tx ride and H-D Car/Bike show

Had a great breakfast ride out to YES Zapata Tx to the famous Steak House. Then returned back to Laredo to make it to the Car/Bike show that was going on at Laredo Harley Davidson. All in all it was a great weekend of riding and hanging out with friends.

Had a great little breakfast ride out to Zapata Texas. Stopped at El Rincon de Los Angeles Restaurant always great breakfast. Took out the Yamaha Raider S and My friend his Indian Springfield.

Looks like a awesome ride! I lived in the RGV for 8 years and did not have a bike at the time. I don't know if I would ride down there. Crazy drivers down there. 83 to Laredo is a nice drive. Just subscribed to see more.
Ah I see that you crossed the tail end of the pecos river. The best part is going to where it starts. In the pecos falls region in the Sangre de Christo Mountains in New Mexico just outside of Santa Fe. It’s quite a beautiful sight.

You're welcome. I'm about to do another oil change, and since I've gotten a little better at my editing, I'll do a new shorter video and to the point. I'll get to it sometime this month if my job lets me 😆

Hey Mike , when you say that's where you left Bernie , what did you mean ? Is Bernie still around ?
He was a good friend of mine and a riding partner. When he passed away from COVID, we left his ashes here. There's a video on here of that last ride and when we left him there. It's what he wanted, and the family reached out to me. This was one of our stopping spots every time we rode to The Hill Country.

Is that the Advanblack tour pack? I have a Chieftain Dark Horse and I want a tour pack, but the Indian tour packs are super expensive. Also, Indian doesn't make a tour pack in my color (icon) so I'd have to buy one and have it repainted. Is yours the king or chopped size? Also, did their mounting hardware work with the Indian spools without any modifications?
I have a video on here it's a TCMT chopped tour pack and links of what I bought. Plus, links to the bracket I used. All I had to buy from Indian was some plastic spacers for the front mounting hardware, so there's no vibration of the bracket.

Thanks for this video man. Made alot easier for me. Any experience with removing oxidation from your rims? Bike sits in garage, and i havnt used it for a year, but dont eant to mess the rims up with these harsh chemicals on the market. Any idea how to remove oxidation? 0000 steel wool and polish? Maybe a little courser? Any advise is appreciated

Always a nice ride with a little rain, my Uncle lives on Lowry drive and my Aunt use to have a ranch in Oilton , I like watching your videos because all the places look familiar, My Dad grew up in Laredo and talked about the Jacaman Family back in the day.

Looks good! Just for thought, maybe add a clear coat of satin to seal it all. May give it a more finished look! From the video, it looks pretty spot on though. :)

Nice weather we have had below zero temps here in Chicago never been to that rest area when I go to Laredo , will be there probably in early spring I will have to check it out . I have some videos on my channel of St Elena canyon in Big Bend if you want to check it out it is also right on the Border .
Sure will, I have our Big Bend ride out as well. Stayed in Ft Davis did Alpine and all the surrounding towns. The mountain trails.

I ride a 2008 Raider S and it is one of if not the best bike I've ever owned. With a few mods it's fantastic.
