    Do you need a signal booster as i need with my current Antenna. My cable goes from my antenna, to a booster where it is then split into 2 x antenna points to connect my tv at the either end of the van . In retro fitting your aerial to my Vanguard current wiring, how will this work with my booster & splitter?

      @evertsmit4385 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you will indeed require to use a booster. You can use the current one that you already have installed.

    you give details of the wiring setup for the RJ45 going into the waterproof plug. However, you do not give the wiring setup for when you add the RJ 45 to the starlink plug end that you cut off. Can you please clarify that wiring setup. Thanks

      No it does not, the unit is to be wired straight into your fuse panel.

    How does this connect to power?

    • @cowfish_technologies
      @cowfish_technologies 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Integration Kit connects directly into your 12V battery system. Either wire it into the fuse panel r a separate (fused) lead from the battery

    No where on their web site does it show its actual mounting detail which is important. Is it flat mount or threaded pole mountable? Where does the cable underneath come out?

    • @cowfish_technologies
      @cowfish_technologies ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gazza, please have a look at the manual that is on our website. It shows the mounting and connection details. www.cowfish.com.au/manuals

    • @gazzahuck9766
      @gazzahuck9766 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thankyou...BUT I should be able to jump onto the web site and go to the product and find everything there about each product. Including whats in the box, nuts bolts, brackets and THE MANUAL and then open the manual and read it or go across the tool bar at the top and find "Manuals" well defined and easy to find But its not listed like that its not easy to find its hidden under customer care like this is where I find warranty not user manuals No picture either, I have to read all the words about installation. A picture tells a 1000 words is true. I am looking for a marine installation, preferably pole mount, probably like a lot of people. I have to create a base plate and threaded fixture to achieve this.

    Will those little antennas connect to a netgear M5 modem?

    • @cowfish_technologies
      @cowfish_technologies 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You require special adapter cable to connect any external antennas to a Netgear Nighthawk modem.

    Hi, I would be very interested to know how this unit compares to the Netgear Nighthawk that other caravanners appear to be recommending.

    • @cowfish_technologies
      @cowfish_technologies 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Nighthawk is a good little unit, but it falls short in its ability to receive a signal in remote places. The internal antennas in the Nighthawk are similar to those in your phone. The Cowfish VanConnect has a vastly superior 4-in-1 antenna. This means a stronger connection to Telstra/Optus and therefor faster internet, as well as a much further reaching WiFi network.

      @@cowfish_technologies Thanks for the prompt response. I'm already leaning towards the Van Connect, for several reasons, however with regard to the antenna, wouldn't an external antenna equalize this issue. On a separate note, the Van Player pages are no longer accessible on your website. Is this product discontinued already, or are you having website issues.

    • @cowfish_technologies
      @cowfish_technologies 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks@@lesduncan5567. An external 4G antenna that is paired correctly with the Nighthawk would improve its 4G reception. There is no ability for the nighthawk to add external WiFi antennas to improve the WiFi range. Other differences to consider is that the VanConnect can be mounted and it is an industrial grade unit, meaning it is better at withstanding dust and heat. The Nighthawk has had reported issues with battery failure due to heat and overcharging.

      @@lesduncan5567 The VanPlayer has been temporarily suspended. We are looking at improvements for the infrared controller and we are working through a software upgrade to allow it to connect to WPA3 secured WiFi networks, such as the new iPhone hotspot.
