I had an aFe intake with Remus back boxes ans it was a fantastic combination. I ran this set up for about ten years before the aFe heat shield became corroded. I replaced the aFe with a GruppeM and it’s much more muted and less of an event than the aFe (although the GruppeM looks fantastic). I’ve heard the Evolve intake and it’s more muted again than the GruppeM. Overall, I’d rank the aFe over both the GruppeM and Evolve options for sound and price.

Absolutely DO NOT remove the two buttons like this! I broke both the retaining clips and had to superglue them back. They are shaped like arrows meant to clip in, but not out. The safe way is to remove the back side first and press on the clip before removing the button.
Great video! The big question is… How to remove the complete cluster; the unit that is laying on your worktop as a whole. Is there a video about that as well? 😀
Unfortunately, I don't have a video on that but it's very easy to remove. There is one Torx screw you need to undo on top of the cluster that attaches to the dash. You just need to tilt the top of the cluster forward and pull it out. There are some clips on the bottom that might need some force to wiggle it out as it is a bit tight in there, then just remove the cables. That's pretty much it.

Had a new 2007 Z4 M coupe and was not impressed. Traded it in ona 2010 Boxter. Improved driving experience. “One mans Beauty is another mans Beast”. The resale value of the Z4 M Coupe is a thing to behold though.

What size rims/tires? Also what suspension setup? I'm about to downgrade to 18s from 19s, as I recently purchased the vehicle and the 19s/wheels that are on it currently rub against the body BADLY..

Like the car - I have a cab and I love the sound of yours. I'm currently looking for exhaust (thinking about Stromung at the moment) and I'm looking for an intake (Turner Motorsports I think). I haven't heard of AFE - are you happen with it? Are you in the west end of the GTA?
If you don't have headers or X-pipe the Stromung will sound just a little better than stock, but I personally think that the Super Sprint Race mufflers are best sounding if everything else is stock, nice deep mellow tone. AFE is a good intake that won't break the bank, another option is the Eventuri but if you are thinking the CSL carbon box from Turner you also have to get the Alpha tune and that all together will set you back $2500-3000 USD. Yes I'm west of the GTA.
I put the eventuri on last fall and it's fantastic. I'll look into the super sprint in a month - that's next. Are you guys doing any group dri es this year?

hey man, really impressive z4 e86, it is my goal's car, I just wanted to know if you have (other that your rear spoiler) another pieces that is non stock on your car, it really looks crazy, does your car got lowered too or it is only the rims with spacer on the rear that give that "stance" looks?
It's lowered, has a BBK and exhaust.

I love my Z4 .. i looking for those rims quite a while. They are pretty rare or if you want new set its crazy expensive.. like 2500 euro + 800 euro michelins.

Avant Garde M359 Fronts 19x9, et35 with a 235/35 tire. Rears 19x10, et 38 with a 275/30 tire. +15mm spacer in rear
How do you removed the cluster from the dashboard?
A single screw at the top if I remember correctly.
