Lucie Arnez is truly an underrated performer. I remember cutting open a slit in the plastic wrap seal on the cast recording of a brand new Broadway musical starring Lucie Arnez & Robert Kline. I always liked her as Kim on "Here's Lucy", and knew she could sing. But, hearing her performance in "They're Playing Our Song" hooked me. Although all of my vinyl albums have since gone astray, I've replaced just about everything I lost with CD's. And, this cast recording is one that I pop in almost on a weekly basis. I love her. And, I even loved her in "The Jazz Singer" with Neil Diamond! She was beautiful. And, this performance was such a beautiful tribute to her mother.
Some how, I don't think, it's a coincidence? i clearly understood forst, the = Close To You = from the Carpenters + later on, in the 1970s, i understood and favored ; = I Think I Love You = from you, David. Yes, yes David, in my life, I really do feel very - very Close to you yet @ the same time, I - know - Think I Love you!. .. .. and Ido - I really do . . . - R.I.P. DAVID ❤
These Three Cowsills are the best family Harmony band bar none. What a blessing to be able to enjoy this remarkable talent. Bob, Paul and Susan can sure lift one’s Spirits. Susan makes my heart beat faster.
Love hearing them sing . First time hearing them do The Boxer .. I love their version of You’ve Got Your Troubles originally by the Fortunes . There isn’t much they can’t sing and sing very well !
Estos si son los verdaderos cantantes y músicos no como la canción "despacito "de Luis Fonzy bien "inflada" que vi en TH-cam como 300 millones de likes es irritable
I had not seen this! Thanks! What an honor for the Monkees! Love this! They deserve all the love and support we fans can give, especially now that Micky is keeping the legacy going! RIP Davy, Mike and Peter!!! My favs forever!
Bless your heart David. You gave it your all for as long as you could. It's difficult to watch him struggle with the alcohol sweats but that didn't stop him. He was a trouper for the fans. We love you and miss you.
Hard to believe when you followed Lou as a young teenage farm boy, from a small town who just believed in himself to go head first and trust his own instincts that he trusted a Woman he met in a Church basement to lead him to a major singing contract, and a lifetime of Stardom, You made it happen Luigi ❤🌟
Both had such beautiful voices
This video makes me so sad and so happy at the same time. RIP DC.
I wish I could have seen him live. I love this song!
No one was looking out for him. He was forced to record a last album, even though he was seriously I’ll. Tragic!!!!
Susan is the bomb ♪

I always love you David. My childhood x
They're not the real Bee Gees. They tried......
I was there that night. Unfortunately he didn't honor the greet and meet the a lot of people paid a lot of money for. He must have had his reasons.
Why don't they play their own hits instead of everyone else
I met him and Davy in 76. Davy pointed at me and said Oh look eez shawt lyke me!

Thank you for sharing this. I love seeing him with coco.
The shame of this video is that he seems to be obviously a little drunk.
You have no understanding of psychology in the human species.

In the last years of his life, David could still rock!
