The fact that he canonically has a scroll of true resurrection and not a scroll of revivify, frustrates me, since Karlach would surely benefit from its usage, and it’s not like he needs it for himself since a regular resurrection will do. She’s constantly crying about her engine and how she’s going to die, and all the while this dude has the solution to her problem in his pocket.

So much of the time in an evil run, i never see Halsin again after he leaves the worg pens. Even long resting near the Grove he doesn't show up and the barrels of goblins just stay unopened even if i rest multiple nights. I think only once did i come across Halsin's dead body in front of the Grove gate but he's never come to camp to confront me. Where he goes, who knows but he just disappears from the rest of the game!

How to trigger that dialogue ?

In the grove, immigration is framed as an easy black-and-white issue: “Good” tieflings (except for their thieving children) to let in, “bad” goblins to keep out. What if there were goblins fleeing from the Absolute? Would they be let in, too? Refugees who were socialised within a… say, “potentially dangerous faith”? The tieflings, meanwhile, are framed as being only discriminated against because of their devilish looks - but so far, I haven’t met any evil tieflings in the game. Except of course if you play a tiefling Dark Urge, like I do on my second playthrough. 😂 In other words: The best argument against open borders in Baldur’s Gate III is not any of the NPCs - it’s you, the player. 😈 Potentially.

Hi all, how do these voice lines spawn? Do you have to throw the ball a certain number of times before Scratch gets tired? Also, I'm currently only in Act 1 and this looks like Act 3 scenery, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Halsin is weirdly chill about all his friends being killed. I got this interaction on my current play though and I was like “You sure that’s ok? I’m pretty sure I’m a bigger threat to the grove than a few goblins.

I mean she isn't wrong... outside the walls they'll be trouble and pressure. Inside you can put them to work. The city is determined to feed them either way so why not take advantage of the situation.

Lol my necromancer tav had higher arcana than him at around 23 so I made the shadowlantern just to show him up

I missed this entirely in my first run, since I knocked minthara down and killed the other two before rescuing him, then he appeared in the grove to party, all forgiven. It seems that he really liked those refuges and really wasn't on board with the writing on the wall with those wanting to take them out.

For as much of a shippers dream BG3 is, all the conversations and reactions I'm finding makes it seem that Shadowheart and Karlach are meant to be cannon.

If I was TRULY evil to Halsin, I wouldnt even tell him it was me who did it. I would let him see for himself and rest assured he would never know who did it.
