I may have grown up with Rainbow's later games like MX vs ATV Unleashed for PS2, but I strongly believe I can still have fun with MX Unleashed and Motocross MAdness 1 and 2 if I can find them once I 100% everything in MX vs ATV Unleashed, including finishing every championship with every possible vehicle, physics mode and difficulty option.

So I'm not sure how the flight model is in MSFS since I fly the F-18 in DCS, but here are a few pointers: 1. Once you have achieved on-speed angle of attack (flight path vector is aligned in the center of the E-Bracket), altitude changes are controlled with the throttle. Only stick input should be left and right. If you need to lose altitude, pull back on the throttle a bit. Look up real life videos of a pilot doing a Case 1 recovery on a carrier, and they are constantly moving the throttle back and forth. Once you've got the ball its "meatball, lineup, angle of attack" rinse, repeat. 2. Don't flare navy aircraft designed to land on a carrier. If you're on-speed AOA, then the tailhook is at the right angle to catch the wire. The landing gear is designed to withstand a massive amount of force. Aim your flight path vector on the deck of the aircraft and watch the ball once it starts to move. Fine tune your adjustments from there. 4. When you touch down make sure you throttle up to afterburner in case you bolter (miss the wire). It gives you another attempt at a go-around. 5. Final advice, go-arounds are free so long as you have fuel. If you're approach sucks, just go around and try again. It give you more stick time to get better instead of resetting. Have fun! Looks like MSFS is more forgiving than DCS when it comes to traps so you can get away with a bit more. A stick and throttle would definitely make things easier too but there are folks that play DCS with a gamepad and are really talented.

Excuse the jittering was trying a new program and rust stutters a lot to. The sound is the wind in teh game but i do have to admit it sounds more like whitenoise.
