This is technically an acoustic instrument. I have 3 of these. One can mic it up if amplification is desired.

I forgot about that loud fan! 😂 I played the hell out of the song book that came with it, and to the day am haunted by foot-tappers like “Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer dooo” Pretty sure either my little brother or parents broke it after the 300th chorus.

I had an sa2000 but I did sell it. Now I have an sa2200 not the same. I think I liked the neck on sa2000 better although it is very close.

I got one of these several years ago from Guitar Center for US$78. I’ve long intended to upgrade the tuners, but I haven’t done it yet.

I have one with a little bit of a neck problem, no one will work on it. They all tell me the repair will cost more than the guitar is worth. It sounds great to me as long as you only play the first 3 frets.

The Yamaha FG340T was made between 1981 and 1985.

I could have bought one similar to that in 1985 for $600. Which was a lot of money at the time. They also had a KK Downing Hamer Flying V. The V was over $1,000, which was a huge amount of money in the 80’s.

I own an FG 340ii that I've owned for 30 years. Love it. My research says the 340T was manufactured from 1981-1985...

I think the Norlin years have gotten a bad rap, Gibson made some very innovative guitars back in the day, most now highly sought after.

Melodicas are still popular in music classes and even in some playrooms today but I wonder why these are not because this seems like a first beginner instrument and it seems easy to learn and it seems like a kid friendly instrument as well but I don’t think they make them like they used to which is sad because music classes and music therapy classes could benefit from one of these it’s just basically a melodica but without a mouthpiece and with a fan built-in to it which is easy to play you don’t have to blow into it it’s already done for you I feel like schools could use them and not in the past but still today they could use these instruments basically as well as the ever so popular piano or electronic keyboard yeah but this instrument has lots of possibilities I wonder who makes them nowadays I wonder if there’s still a company in India or somewhere like that that makes these

The best way to explain one of these is It’s in melodica or accordion but just with a fan in it

Found this video because i just acquired one if these off marketplace for dirt cheap. It sounds better than my cheapo Starcaster i also got cheap.🤣 Ive already stripped it down for a Franky copy build. It played awesome before the teardown. I already ordered new roller bridge and other gold plated mods. But i was wondering what year(s)these were made if anyone knows? Thanks for the video! 🎸

I have the same, likely same year. But I'll admit I didn't know what the 5 positions offered. Must read manuals. What's the black stuff you put on the neck pickup? I tend to tonk and plonk the first pickup on my Exit-22 ...

I have a 1965 Harmony Archtone (just like yours). When friends come by they want to play that first over my Martin, my Jazzmaster, or anything else I have.

I have one plays great sounds great!
