30 Day Painting Challenge - Day 30 Process Video
Last painting of the challenge! This is in real time. You'll see how I use mark making to suggest detail and the softness of the clouds.
This challenge really put me to the test. Dedication and focus on the finish line, rather than the obstacles, is how I completed the challenge. Will I do this again the future? Maybe, but not for some time. My plan for now is to focus more on in depth videos where I explain my approach and thought process.

This painting was a joy to create. A lot things just flowed. I used a accumulation of techniques; wet on wet, dry brushing over areas and the palette knife in the foreground. Painting reflections of the sunset on the water can be hard. Especially if that water isn't calm. The choppiness of the surface can make it difficult to know where you need to reflect what is above it. the underpainting before you used the pastel... was it made with the same pastels or with other medium (acrylic/gouache)?
Hi @nukhbahsany9712, for the underpainting I used Derwent Inktense sticks and made an ink wash on the paper before I mounted it to a foam core board. I like these better as they don't mix with water once they're dry.
