Sewing a vintage pattern to make this vintage style shirt waist dress! Vintage sewing projects are always my favorite thing to sew! I used Simplicity 3994, I would totally recommend using it as a beginner friendly sewing project. What made this dress extra special is using vintage fabric from the 1950s! It really gave it that authentic look. Thank you to Sewrena and Ashley Main Makes for hostin...

Absolutely gorgeous 🤩
Cool video! I never thought of getting fabric at the flea market! Next time I go to one I hope to see some! Your ideas for your projects look great, and that fabric that's your fav the silk one is so pretty it reminds me of Lily Pulitzer! Definitely dona dress with that fabric if you want!
I'm always down with restoring items to enjoy them. And your little fur baby is still with you 🦋
Beautiful 🖤
Love your hair! I had no idea about that hair accessory, super cool! Also love the vintage car, I hope to get my own vintage car one day!
Love the play suit! It would look cute with a cardigan, tennis shoes, and a hat!
My first video of yours! I am trying to leamr how to use my sewing mahcine and make clothing! 🩵
So cute
Wow! Definitely the matching belt! Amazing dress!❤

wow! p...p
Here's my sewing over pins horror story: I once had a pin get bent in half by the force of the needle and wedged into the bobbin housing area. It was a nightmare. This is gorgeous! I'm a little confused abou the slash and bias tape situation...what purpose did it serve? Sending love from TX! 🖤
You did such a great job with this skirt, now it looks beautiful! Why not give a vintage garment a new life, instead of just letting it gather dust in a closet! And I agree with you about our furbabies, I think they visit us in another form...❤
Thank you so much! Totally agree why not try to save damaged vintage item so it can be included in your regular wardrobe. And you can’t beat the price! 😆💗💗
What a great idea and you gave it a new life!
Thank you so much! It was fun too! 😆💗💗
Love your videos. Let us know how your visit to the apple orchard went and maybe which one you visited too? You made the skirt wearable again. I think vintage or not if there is damage like you found on that skirt and you fix it so it is wearable again, it is a marvelous thing to do. Probably if you didn't makeover the skirt it might eventually end up in a landfill before it's time.
Thank you! Totally agree I think it’s the best thing to do is to make changes to a severely damaged vintage item to make it wearable again. I was worried some would be upset at altering vintage. But I think if it’s in the verge of being thrown away it ok 😆✨✨
Omg this came out so beautiful ❤️😍🦋
Thank you Beauty! ❤
I love the idea of giving vintage and antique things that are damaged beyond repair a new life. My current philosophy is: if something is very rare and very much a unique and excellent example of how such things were made, despite it being hugely damaged, that particular item should be archived, curated, and available to clothes historians. Moth damaged/worn out easy to replicate "cloth" clothing is usually not in this category for me. These sorts of items are very much to be worn & enjoyed, I think. You did a beautiful job
Thank you so much! Totally agree there’s categories in restoring or revamping damaged vintage items. I have some damaged vintage I need to repair and would never do anything major to change it. Guess it just depends on the damage
@@jennydame yes it does, but, also, I think on the rarity. Like. If there's almost none left intact, if it's hand sewn, if it's an original design, if it is a one of a kind piece, if the materials were hard to come by,or are now impossible to access (either ethically, or, at all), if the process used to make it is no longer possible, or can't be replicatedgor some reason: those sorts of things. Anything can be "repaired", most things can be restored, but, some, and, clearly, it's difficult to say which, maybe should just be in a protected museum, or something.
Revamping! To save a vintage piece by adding to it to restore life back into it is the way to go. I'd say with you purchasing the piece you saved it. Eventually it could haved ended up in a trash bin. The finished product speaks for its self! Outstanding!! Lol the apples will fall from the trees as you approach!!
Apples falling made me laugh 😆💗💗 Thank you! I agree saving vintage is the best way to go!
This is fantastic and amazing! What a great idea to bring a piece back to life. Also that is 100% true that the butterflies are your fur baby sending you signs. 🦋
Thank you so much! Made me smile thank you for saying that, all our FurBabys watch over us 🥰💗
I love that you made something that others might think is past it's prime and make it unbelievably beautiful again.
Thank you! You know how excited I get with I find cheap items 🤑
You saved this piece! The talent, the creativity, the resourcefulness…amazing. Cant want to watch the full video! 🤩💕
Thank you so much! I love rescuing vintage items! If it’s not damaged I keep them as is but this skirt needed saving 😆💗😆
When the guy started making that noise my dog came running up to the TV to investigate 😂😂😂
Omg I love that! 😆💗💗
Make a blue belt not only a sash
I love shirtwaists and this one is so beautiful! Your vintage fabric is fabulous and it was the best choice for this dress! You look stunning! 😍😍
Thank you sew much! I had a feeling I was going to use this fabric for a special project 😆✨
I love love this on you! the square neckline is divine :)
Thank you so much!
blue !

l love them all
The Blue 😂
Blue
Blue
Blue looks fascinating👌😍
Blue
I like the blue one best, but I think the yellow or same-fabric ones are more period authentic?
in order 3, 1, ….. 2
All super cute but I dig the blue most
What about making a fully green one with that green belt buckle?? Green would be gorgeous
Well the first one somehow makes this look like a German dirndl (you know, what they wear on Oktoberfest). I'd go with the third.
Blue
1 and 3 are amazing
So cute!!!
Thank you sew much! ✨✨
Blue
I wear glasses if I'm sewing over pins. I had a needle fly in between my eyes once and it scared the crap out of me 😭
Omg! So glad you’re ok! That’s the horror stories I’ve heard! Definitely going to take them out each time
