The Butler vote has been determined as always valid, since this video was recorded. Invalidating an incorrect vote confirms them as being good. They are on the honor system, and can later be reprimanded, but their vote must be counted.

No need to buy those pricey plastic encased tokens. Go to a hardware store and get a gloss type spray paint for less than $10. Presto. No more wear and tear worries. Worked for my Quacks game tokens.

In the rules it mentions that the bonuses in the round glass chambers are always applied, so like the cards with a rat tail for one essence, you'd get the rat tail every time your essence was one or greater. For the cards with the victory points for 7, 8, 9, 10 essence, you'd get all the victory points added together as you get farther, not just the 1 or 2 victory points. Says "Points and rat stones are always bonuses that you receive in addition to your patient bonus or patient action." meaning you're not just looking at the one bonus where your essence landed, but all the rat stones and victory points before your essence as well (the round glasses, not the ovals).

Those little ingredient/token protectors look great. Where did you get yours?

Love the video, just for clarification, with the forgetfulness patient is the power meant to be used over and over as long as you have the essence to pay for it or just once? i suppose that question extends to all the powers

not really played many games during lockdown, played a lot of wingspan and tried marvel's splendor so i am a bit out of touch with games. i am looking forward to the great wall, and frostpunk. i ordered frosthaven but to enjoy that game i need friends who has time to play it. i am looking forward to continue my journey in tainted grail. i do like Darwin's Journey from the video. Frostpunk the video game is extremely good and is my type of challenge/game. i do love my coop imaginative games and is why i love my dungeon crawlers and cringe at deception games.

To anyone saying poisoner is OP, this game could have ended if good didn't kill Ethan and instead cleaned up the double virgin claim. This mistake let the Imp pass onto a minion and the game devolved from there are the Empathy NEVER thought he could have been poisoned. ugh

A quick role-call for everyone's names would help the following power of this video. I was constantly lost when they didn't point and say "I nominate Robert" or whatever

I love the premise of this game...but I could never play it in person. Too much noise with people shouting over each other. I’ve watched a couple of play throughs on zoom where people (on camera) can split off into separate ‘rooms’ to talk privately. I could probably play it that way. That really is my only con that I see just by watching the live action games.

Quite a few mistakes in this video. 11:30 - You don't waste the other 5 by placing only one of them in the forest. You still get to reroll the other one with the rest of the dice. 22:25 - Putting dice in the Vortex of Resurrection immediately ends your turn. You were not allowed to roll that last die. 24:50 - You should have gotten your third gem at this point. You get it as soon as there are three dice in the second section of the desert. 30:45 - You're not allowed to place any dice in a section of the fortress that has already been unlocked. 31:15 - When you get a gem from the desert you must move one of the dice from the second section into the third section, and that die will be locked there for the rest of the game.

I felt so bad for Ethan and Phil in this one 😭

A couple of suggestions on the graphics: make the tombstones smaller and put them to the side, so the identities aren’t obscured. And overlay the drunk token with the token the player actually picked, so we know who he thinks he is.

The whole time I was confused as to why the Undertaker saw the Recluse as the Baron, until the end where you explained what happened. So the Recluse can appear as any minion to an Undertaker? Could you have chosen a minion role from outside the game for this "information"? Great game!

I feel like evil definitely would've won if the poisoner had kept her mouth shut. They were about to execute a good player and leave the game with 2 alive unless someone else was nominated.

I just watched this and I already want to see you people play another game of it, this was the best!

The saint should have done more to help the good team. He spent too much of the game not saying much except "I'm the saint, don't kill me" which ended up drawing too much suspicion on him.

Anybody watching the ending, you can open the TH-cam stream on VLC through Media -> Stream and then from Tools and Track synchronization set the Sound track delayed by around 10.7 seconds for it to be on sync.

Love the video. This game looks so great. I was yelling at the screen so many times. Spoiler: I was especially yelling at Ethan, the Undertaker, for not understanding that a Recluse can show up as a Baron. (His reaction to this info at the end was priceless. Poor guy.) Then I was yelling at them for not playing off the two pair idea and killing off the Imp. Finally, at the end, I was flabbergasted that they just accepted the Soldier claim even though it's the perfect scapegoat for why you're not claiming a role and not getting voted off. They were so close to a win. Well played, evil team. Well played.

Such a good video. I almost left with all the chatter in the beginning that was impossible to decipher, but it really settled down in the end. I liked the token overlays, but it would've been cool if they stayed on the whole time and showed who was poisoned/drunk (though it was pretty easy to figure out who was drunk). It was painful to watch the Virgin player figure it all out, give great arguments, and then accidentally sabotage a Virgin "proof" of the current Imp...and then systematically it looked like everyone was going to vote off a baddie only to let them live. I kept thinking "Yes! They got one! VOTE VOTE VOTE! ...oh. Guess not." I laughed when I saw the Storyteller re-wake up the Imp to verify his really bad choice of who to kill. Crazy game with lots of weird choices. Makes me want to really play it myself.

Great game there guys. Well done to the winning team.

There is a mistake with the graphics on the night around the 58min mark. The fortune teller dies, not the imp.

I must be missing something. I have tried to play this twice, and both times I try to move her to her next location, only to find there are NO possible places for her to go. Perhaps the next card is a tree, but she is on a space from where there are no locations with a tree one space away. I keep watching this, seem to be doing everything right, but I run into the same problem when I try to play myself. So frustrated.

The Imps messed up so hard. 1st Imp by not sharing info with his minions and killing himself off way too early; 2nd Imp by randomly claiming to be Virgin and not killing the Undertaker after the Virgin was killed in the day (although to be fair, he might have assumed the Poisoner would poison the Undertaker).
