I didn’t notice it at first, but the audio editing actually heightens this speech so much at the end. As Erik closes his speech, the quiet background music stops, leaving a period of silence. Then, an uplifting tone puts a great emphasis on his final words to recap his big idea. Erik’s speech is strong, but together with the audio, it’s captivating and powerful - exactly what a speech is supposed to be.

Bunch of bitter losers.. YOu all know who the best player in that season.. Nobody even came close to Russel. Heres the thing about survivor, to those people who disagree with me. Winning survivor is hard. There are 16 players in there and what do you think the chances of a player winning? If you play a good guy and play honorably, youre not gonna last that long. To those people saying Natalie played honorably, guess what, youre wrong. For every time Russel makes a plan to blindside someone, his whole teams agrees. So the fault shouldnt just be on Russell. These other members are to blame too. It was because of Russel that Natalie and the rest of the tribe made it to the final 6, final 5, final 4, final 3. Again, like I said this game is hard to win. If you dont make moves, youre not gonna last that long. They always say that you have to make big moves to win in Survivor, guess what, thats exactly what he did. And now that he did those big moves, the jury are gonna criticize him for it? That doesnt make any sense. So what should a player do?? Either situation will still end in criticism. Play safe and in the end you get criticized for being too weak or Play hard and in the end, you get criticised for your dishonorable moves. Again, theres nobody else in that whole cast deserves to win Survivor Samoa. Nobody came close to what Russel did.
