With a guitar like that, you should learn “mother of earth” by gun club. The writer, Jeffrey Lee pierce, has a great cover of it somewhere th-cam.com/video/TZKJxNRLs3w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Q5Zmk_N5Dwnjxz0G

Probably the hardest video game song I've learned so far

3500 knex pieces
Nice guitar
Loving that guitar my man
Great work!
A few pointers if I may. You're holding the pick incorrectly, you want the pick to be in a position between your fingers so that your finger tips aren't pointing at the strings. Ideally you want your index finger curled under your thumb with the base of the pick sandwiched between your thumb an index finger. I think you'll find that the fluidity in your playing will be substantially improved by this. It might be beneficial to look up a video specifically on how to hold the pick as that will be much more helpful then me trying to describe it. I also think you'd find it very useful to learn how to do hammer-ons and pull-offs, and maybe look up a technique video on this. These two techniques used together are probably the most used techniques in the world. For instance in your "6 easy riffs to impress your friends" video when you played that portion of the master of puppets solo, hammer-ons and pull-offs play a significant role in the original version from metallica. Also I highly recommend practicing with a metronome. That way you can practice a song slowly and make sure every note is in the right spot timewise, and then slowly bring the song up to speed. Lastly, if you aren't already, practicing scales will improve your playing drastically because it will force you to become more familiar with the weird ways you have to move your fingers as you continue to learn more songs. All the skills of playing scales are transferable to anything else you may end up playing, especially complex solos and things of that nature. My recommendation for good scales to start out with are the major scales and the pentatonic minor scales. The pentatonic scales in general will make it much easier to play any rock or blues music. Sounds great, keep up the good work.
I'll give it a shot thx
good job, how long have u been practising?
Just over 12 months
@@josephrichter3669nice, keep at it, I just started a month ago
@davo8726 I'm no pro but if I'd have any advice have fun with it and pratice every day for 15 mins. Not to endorse the app but I highly recommend using yousician app to get you started they have about a 2 hour basic starter lessons for free to get you kind of set up for success. More importantly have fun it's very rewarding
