distortion from Magnepan Speakers - or is it the source material?
มุมมอง 2994 ปีที่แล้ว
A simple set up that demonstrates high frequency noise coming from a pair of new 1.7i magnepans. This test was set up on secondary hardware because I was having this exact sound on my main system. I'm inclined to think it is the source material and not the hardware

The tweeter panels may have a too soft roll off crossover characteristic, whereby these have to produce too much mid- and low-range sound. There are various suggestions on the WWW to change the first order filter (-6 dB/octave) towards a second order filter (-12 dB/octave), although it is difficult to find any exact crossover proposals. I like the video in video....where did you get the pitch/roll icons with the speedometer, that’s pretty cool!!!!!!
