Spring Wildflower Watch
มุมมอง 1183 ปีที่แล้ว
Fernbank Forest is home to a large variety of plants, including dozens of different species of native wildflowers. The yearly display of wildflowers peaks in the spring, filling the forest with vibrant blooms of color. In February and March, sunlight streams through the canopy while trees are still leafless, coaxing the ephemeral wildflowers up from beneath the surface of the soil.

this has been made into book, film and live theater intended for "very young children". These people have been trained to hate humanity. If they lifted a finger AND got promoted making something for kids there is 100% chance its meant to make your child more open to sex with them. All of these people are scumbags.

  • @electrictofumuffins6384

I was expecting perverted garbage. Hard to believe anyone lifted a finger AND got promoted making something for kids that ISNT perverted sex garbage. Im sure whoever made this is an evil scumbag so there must be some way this os intended to hurt people. Perhaps subliminal.

Well, yeah, if you have cute little baby ivy like shown here. But if you've got decades-old growth and 1 to 2 inch stems embedded in the tree bark -- well, you might want something more than clippers and a pruning saw!

It's kind of sad to see how little recognition this place is getting so let me just say my fondest memories of growing up in Atlanta was visiting the museum on the weekends when I was a little child, and also the summer camps I stayed at during the hot and humid months of Georgia heat. In fact, I brought in a fragment I found in the gravel of a Florida parking lot and they told me it was a legitimate fossil of a clam shell. Both the Fernbank Museum and the Ferbank Science Center are huge parts of my childhood.

At 0:05 that should be "redbuds" not "redbubs". At 0:12 you see Piedmont azalea (Rhododendron canescens). And that plant at 0:18 that you see a bee pollinating is actually one of the invasives-red dead-nettle (Lamium purpureum)-that Fernbank should get rid of. At 0:27 you see bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis). At 0:45 you see some phlox species (maybe Phlox carolina; I'm unsure). And then at 0:52 there is another invasive to get rid of: daffodil (some species of Narcissus).

Thanks for sharing. I visited Fernbank as a child on a field trip and I loved it. I think it primed me to love science, and biology in particular. In the meantime I've published research on southeastern plant ecology and I'm teaching biology locally.
