Thanks for the info on the barrel nut. Question; will a Bighorn Origin prefit with a barrel nut (not shouldered) fit on the Solus action? According to the Solus tenon spec drawing, it’s identical to the Origin. Thanks again!
Didn't realize you had a TH-cam channel, cool, we've never meet but i got a barrel or two from you. I've started playing with the 25GT also. 28" Benchmark with 31.7 gives me 2630 with N150 under 135 hybrid's and is no where near pressure. Really liking this 25 and its already brought its first trophy home.

I'm confused. I contacted Mack Brothers by e-mail a couple days ago and they told me the bolt knob threads were 1/4 x 24. kind of odd...just what are they?

You made a special 6mm PPC barrel for me a while back and it shoots great! I look forward to having you make me some more barrels for my other crazy projects.
I am neat picking but , in order for your torque to be accurate the wrench handle and torque wrench must be in straight alignment. Otherwise the length from your grip to the center of the axis of the nut will change. Torque is measured weight over distance. Or in this instance pounds over feet. Good video

Most of the time I wish the videos were shorter, but for yours I want them to be longer - more details please, and compliments to your craftsmanship. So what barrel did you use for this, and what twist? How about a video on the different stocks you use and recommend. You put the MDT field stock on mine but I would like something even lighter for my next CRBW rifle build.
The barrels we have are Preferred Barrels, and they are 3 twist. For the short barreled actions I prefer the shorter chassis, mostly because they look more balanced. Thanks

Anthony has made me over 10 barrels over the last few years and they are consistently great, and has always been willing to help an amateur rifle builder with all the dumb questions! Crownridge barrels are the best in the business as far as I'm concerned!
good n snug is all you need..... use the torque on the scope rings and bases always deburr the rings remove all sharp edges or it will dig into your scope

What’s the case capacity of that 25GT? I’m using that 88 with my 22arc and n550 it’s a frickin hammer. Flying in the mid 28’s
It holds 45.4 grains of water. The N555 fills the case just right. H4350 give more velocity but not quite as good SD's. This is with Alpha brass.
The Height of Comb piece has been revised so it can be removed easily.

I like the DBM with the 20 MOA rail. I've been using the MDT 6 ARC mags.

I don't think so, because of the shape of the bottom of the bolt. I agree that would add some bling for sure.

In this application it is not that important. tighter is really better within reason.
Actually everyone says 90 degrees between torque wrench and nut wrench.....
That made me look it up that would be a crazy big game cartridge

Did you thread the bolt handle? Is your torque wrench set to 70 ft lbs? Did you compensate for the center to center distance on the wrench?

From their website it looks like only their titanium actions are EDM machined, their steel actions are standard CNC. Is that correct?
