I was always shocked to go from 30 or so to 5 in about a night. Once a few molt a little quicker its game over for their siblings.

Wow, EPIC FAIL on the Sea Monkeys part. That's super disappointing. I mean, how hard is it to get this right. Aqua Dragons nailed it. EPIC SUCCESS on their part. Every kid who gets this for Christmas will have amazing good memories to look back on. What a great gift!

Looks like in the AD Volcano, at least, near the end of the video there were a few offspring, or late hatching eggs.

Another thing occurred to me. The SM enclosure is clear all around, thus promoting more algae growth which is really important for sustained success.

I had a basic Aqua Dragons enclosure a few years back and came to realize that I much prefer a larger opening, like most SeaMonkey enclosures, as opposed to the smaller opening on most/all of the aqua dragons enclosures. Just gives me more options if I want to modify the SeaMonkey lid to accommodate a bubbler, for example.

Apparently every (or almost every) packet contains *some* brine shrimp eggs. A little bet hedging there.

This one almost seems like cheating. There's nothing to do at all except keep it in that "narrow" 20f temperature delta (!) and make sure it gets decent lighting. This isn't rocket surgery.

Is that magnet flat? If so, and if I purchase one of these things, I think i'll file down one side's edges to see if I can more closely match the sphere curvature.

Back then they had alot of exotic freshwater fish but these days its standard freshwater fish u would see at chain stores..also had alot of custom lookin tanks as well back then like circle or half moons and some other unique aquarium shapes other than ur typical box ones...IMO they went downhill..its like a oversized Petco/Petsmart..i suspect they either changed owners or management...ive been to fish stores in Texas and they have many custom lookin tanks, more exotic freshwater fish, more decorative driftwood and natural scape products in a store half that fish Place...I dont think thatpetplace has demographic to appeal to higher end fishkeepers perhaps thats why they carry what they do

I wanted Sea Monkeys as a kid. That's some nonsense crap my parents said. Tears. Bought some Sea Monkey's at 36 years of age. That's some nonsense crap, parent's were right! 😂

Great video ..triggered nostalgia overload ! I remember being probably between 9 or 12 years old way back and being amazed by the Sea Monkey artwork in my comic books in the late 70's early 80's ..... opening an egg of silly putty and trying to copy them onto the putty! Fun times =) I like how you still care for the Sea Monkeys on Mars ..Awesome!
