Super disappointed that you didn't talk about the prices you paid for the tools. Otherwise, great, no-nonsense, all-business video. I'm subscribing. But I'd really really like to hear about the price tags in the next one. Thanks!
Hope this late comment finds you well sir. You got yourself a treasure and a piece of history. I have a couple sets of metric sockets and a 1/2” Snap On Ratchet I rescued from a pawn shop that the previous owner had engraved. Every scratch, ding and chip in those tools or the box itself tells a story of a man that used that stuff proudly to put meat on the table and support his family.
Made in Chicago Illinois Power Kraft
Did you find pipe jaws? If so where did you get them? Thanks
enjoying this in 2023
that is some collection there ! Wow, I know now that there is a LOT of different tools that snap-on made, collecting them all will be very draining! At that point you get you gonna use. i picked up some, late 1970s ones just like yours here, just a handful of sockets, ratchets and torque wrenches, all snap on from a garage sale. The guy was the original owner and used them as a hobbyist only so they were in great condition. Love the black handle screw drivers. Got a few of those as well, they are really growing on me, just love seeing the snap-on lettering on each tool, makes it that much more special to own and use!
Hose clamp pliers
Find of a lifetime!
Thats not for brakes. Either for trueing up exhaust pipe or stretching rubber hose. I think 🤔
Useless video.
Someone took his Government issued tools home with him when he retired as they are all in English imperial sizing. Willing to bet from motor pool / heavy equipment mechanic as they were issued all the tools they could justify. Definitely not a home set based on the sizes and the fact that they are all in English imperial units. That's also the standard tool box for US government mechanics. Also, the US government has to buy "USA made" tools which is another big give-away as all the tools are USA made.
But you didn't mention anything about what looks like a combination adjustable/alligator wrench that was sitting in the background.
How much for your haul
You got a helluva deal but I hate to admit it, i still would've tried to talk them down.
If I found all those tools for that price, I would have had a heart attack ... so it's good you got them instead!
The rivets are called tubular rivets. I restore vintage toy tractors that use them. There are tools designed to peen them down. And can get all different size rivets.
Why not mention the cost?
It was $100 bucks back in 1972. Traded it away and then bought another one in 1977. Still got it.
Talking the price of the box.
You got some good stuff. I have the Doyle 8" and 10" pliers and they are identical to Knipex but a fraction of the cost. That little icon ratchet set has a few cool features if you haven't found them already. I have almost the same set but they are Blackhawk/Proto. You can use the ratchet and extension in different combinations for leverage/T-handle and screwdriver. George
I have the "general" belt driven bench grinder. However the belt pulley on the grinder shaft is moving toward the right (as you face the grinder), even after I tightened the set screw. Any suggestions?
Looks like a k r300 roll a bench

The brake spoon with the curved groove that was used on a farm is identical to my Snap on one, you probably know about Snap on’s date code chart i use it a lot, I’m looking to restore some of my older tools and am amazed on the quality of your restorations
Thank you very much. I really enjoy restoring them. Wish I could do better videos showing my process. I have a great setup I go threw and usually doesn’t take to long.
@@toolrescue9119 great job and very nice assortment of tools, and i love your made in USA aspect because this is my rule of them whenever I’m on the Snap-On & Matco tool trucks, my options are being limited rapidly though, I don’t mind a US made rebrand or even a Swedish/Spain/German made tool but I absolutely prefer US made, i still use some of the SK issued tools that I received in trade school (1988) and love them, my trade/hobby for tools is becoming into something more because many of my Snap-On tools that I’ve purchased over the years have not changed and have increased in pricing across the board so it seems like a great market for Ebay, i love your videos and will stay updated 👍🏼
Let me know if you’d like to sell that 3/4” Snap-on ratchet.
I definitely will. Really enjoy your channel to 👍
Once again you got a great bunch of quality tools in this video. Great job finding and sharing these tool hauls.
What an incredible haul! Well done my friend! That huge snap on ratchet is super cool!
What a haul!! Really enjoy the channel!! Those sockets you were questioning are called weatherhead sockets used for fittings primarily on hydraulic stuff.
Thankyou I had no idea what those were. Worked on vehicles since I was 15 and never needed those I guess
Cornwell 9/16" is a Saltus wrench.
great haul wish i was that lucky
That was a serious haul, nice scores for sure! Still not much sales by me yet.
They are really starting here! 3 this week
Those Craftsman ratcheting wrenches are made by Facom rebranded as Craftsman
Nice to know. They seem ok for general use. If they grow legs im not out much
Those vise grips great..hadnt seen any like that..cool
