why the defenders become full bar of power sometimes?
Raid rule, the defender cannot lose more than 12% of HP, when he loses 12% he becomes indestructible, unstoppable, unblockable and gains 3 bars of energy

Every time a buff is nullified, doom applies a shock to the opponent .

I tried for the first time yesterday and he would not throw his sp1, I did it 20 times and still would not do it..

Not completely necessary for Galan but I used one on mine just to get the awakened ability
