hey @Ozus03! Ahh, I'm not 100% sure.. I'm normally keen to make sure there's no clipping in any tracks so maybe I just run them lower than normal? I use a lot of buses to group instruments, but yeah every instrument will be recorded in at different volumes and I guess I'm just trying to keep everything balanced as best as I can. Probably not a conscious thing :) I don't really see myself as a "producer" but just trying to grow in these skills ! How do you approach gain staging and faders etc?

Great question Brandon! So I’ve managed super well in Australian summers because I have a max air fan positioned right over my head and with my bed being quite high, I can crank the fan on 100% and that’s really strong on my face. There’s been 1 unbearable night in 2yrs, but honestly it’s pretty good normally ☺️

wow! that's pretty rough.. yeah I feel like we're very blessed in Australia. Not gonna lie, it was still a shock to be rudely woken up at 1am that time, but yes I was surprised that they didn't fine me, but gave me information to help me if I needed it. I hope van life works for you in the US :)

Yep! it's a very real shock to the system! something that I still think I grapple with.. but I've noticed a lot of character growth in myself from this experience :)
