Alabama here! It’s January the 15 and we have less than a month left. The bucks are still chasing some does . I hunt horns so I’m still waiting for big boy to make a mistake/ it’s got to be 8 points or better. Good luck everyone . I hunt off the ground. No climber no shooting house. Have y’all ever tried to shimmy up the tree? Sure beats all the ropes and stuff. I’m 61 and if I can do it, anyone can. The more you do it the better you get. You just need a couple sturdy branches to stand on. I just lean against the tree when I’m taking a shot with my long bow. Killed many a buck without a tree stand or rope!

A heated vest is the only way I can sit late season! I get cold easily when sitting still and they really help. Heated socks are nice too.

Agreed! I have a different brand, but it’s definitely a must. And a moral booster early in the morning or late afternoon 🤜
