SLE6000 Overview
Volume Targeted Ventilation (VTV) on the SLE6000
Volume Targeted Ventilation (VTV) is a lung protective mode of ventilation that can reduce the risk of serious complications such as BPD, pneumothorax, atelectasis and hypocarbia. In VTV mode, the SLE6000 monitors and targets the expiratory tidal volume (Vte) and can compensate for an ET tube leak of up to 50%.
OxyGenie on the SLE6000.
Our award winning OxyGenie® module is a responsive Automatic O2 controller for the SLE6000. Designed with the University of Tasmania and the Royal Hobart Hospital, SLE wanted to create a solution that maximises the amount of time the patient’s SpO2 is within target range, by analysing their FiO2 every second.
Non-Invasive Ventilation - Dual & Single Limb on the SLE6000 (Intersurgical)
The SLE6000 is unique in allowing for the choice of either dual or single-limb non-invasive ventilation, extending the interface options available to medical staff. NIV can then be applied using a nasal mask or nasal prongs. Servo-controlled flow compensates for varying leaks and results in a more consistent pressure requiring fewer staff interventions. The option of dual-limb modes for nasal C...

HFOV on the SLE6000 Ventilator
High Frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) is a type of mechanical ventilation that uses a constant distending pressure (or mean airway pressure (MAP)) with pressure variations oscillating around the MAP at very high rates (up to 900 cycles per minute). This creates small tidal volumes (often less than the dead space) whilst offering significant advantages over conventional ventilation.

SLE6000 etCO2
SLE has developed an optional CO2 software module for use with the SLE6000 ventilator. This requires an external hardware module, the MicroPod™, that plugs into the rear panel of the SLE6000 and sends data on CO2 from the patient to the ventilator to display and trend.
SLE6000 SIMV
Synchronised Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation, or SIMV, is a patient interactive mode of ventilation. To find out more about the SLE6000 and SIMV, please visit www.sle.co.uk/products/life-support/ventilators/sle6000
SLE6000 SPO2
Since the SLE6000 is the focus for all of the ventilation needs of the patient integrating SpO2 monitoring allows the caregiver to more easily control the inspired O2 whilst simultaneously monitoring all of the other ventilation parameters. Having all of the data on a single screen allows the caregiver to focus on the patient’s ventilation. To find out more about the SLE6000 and SLE's SpO2 modu...

Could it be work in nasal pronge or nasal mask via mini flow circuit?

Although the SLE5000 has not been validated for use with the Miniflow we are aware that a number of our customers have used them for CPAP in the past. I understand that it will work although there may be spurious alarms since the SLE5000 was designed for invasive ventilation only. Whilst it seems to work, we cannot recommend this combination since it has not been validated. The new SLE6000 is validated for use with both prongs and masks on the Miniflow, and the alarms have been adjusted to allow for this.
