FROKKO 5 - Tim De Maeseneer & Brass Band Willebroek (Tenor Horn Solo)
Frokko 5 is the final piece of Tim's solo CD "The Birth of Time Echoes".
It is a 5-minute-rollercoaster with a dazzling part for the soloist.
The music starts rather slow and builds up steadily - using long musical sentences and many technical tours de force - towards a fast and spectacular ending.
The typical style of Prokofiev was the main inspiration for this composition. It is my ode to one of the great(est) composers of the 20th century!

Thank you Roger. Yes it is my first attempt. Had to take a “how to start film scoring in Logic“ course the first week. Lots and lots of improvement needs to be done. But I’m glad you like he harmonies, thx again !

@@aleksandarstojceski3139 Thank you ! Actually, yes and no. I have written several works for various soloists, ensembles and orchestras, but I never took classes in composition. My first piece was a bass trombone concerto titled "Vademecum" (written in 2008), which has been rather well received around the world. Since I am a professional bass trombonist myself, I guess you can say that I learn a lot by sitting in the orchestra, constantly using my ears to hear how the great composers mastered their craft, and applying as best as I can for whatever I'm working on ...
