I am currently playing this game as my first fire emblem game. According to this tier list I have done a very good job of letting all the good units (except for seth) die. And also, Gilliam has actually been my best unit. Note: the characters I have had die (almost immediately, by the way) are: Vanessa, Franz, Joshua, Ross, Garcia, Lute(?), the Joshua recruiting one I forgot the name of and am not bothering to look up, Tana(?) and several more I forgot about. I suck at this game. (Which I am playing in EASY MODE)

Could have given Amben a silly little hat, since he's such a silly little guy. One of those chullos peruvian people wear. Those are usually made from either alpaca or llama wool, would help tie in with his background.

Wallace talks a lot of shid for being one of the worst characters in the game

Is everyone elses Eirika really that bad? My Eirika is always collecting scalps like a job. Idk. Couldnt be me I guess 😌 Also vanessa is SO grindy. She needs to be drip fed kills to get the ball rolling, and even then she might only be useful for utility as a flier. Id rather get Tana and then give her some extra exp, since shes almost always stronger and tankier than Vanessa anyway.

So now Bartre just gets killed by Karla 😂😂😂

I will say ignoring Lyn mode is, even though completely understandable, annoying and dumb. Like yes, Lyn is not a good unit and some of Lyndis' League are only made ok to good when doing Lyn Mode. But ignoring it does make a sizable number of the cast not as good, unfortunately as if those characters were balanced around it. I think it would be better to just make Lyn mode better to play. I don't like skipping content, definitely when they impact certain characters longevity. But in fairness this is a me problem. I will give the patch a try ^u^;

The funniest part of the video is where you can clearly see you counting out square is the game play footage.

I do not understand all the L'arachel hate, I use her every time and she usually leads the pack.

I had an Fe7 Randomizer Run and i actually played Will Bartre and Wallace and the classes Changes Helped them alot and were actually really fitting . ( Bartre as a Mercenary and the possibilitys for swords and Axes was Bonkers, Will was a Nomade and therefore he was hitting hard with a sword and his Bow was just a Surplus at the end , and Wallace was Nils , which were Perfect because i capd Deff with him at the end. that tun Showed me so much cool Upgrades on ideales characters ( Honorbles Mention was Jaffar the Berserk which was carrying the whole run)

Radiant Dawn is definitely an ambitious game in the FE franchise. It's wild to me when base 20 speed this relatively early in the game is considered bad. But in a game with 3 tiers of promotions and high stat caps that was bound to happen

The edit at 24:08 is incredible! Well done man! These fixes feel very true to the spirit of the game! I once heard someone say Elwood feels like a trainer unit that upon Heaven sealing promotes to a cavalier. That blew my mind and I wish he was better lol.

I love Rebecca. When I get her A support with Lowen her speed and crit rate goes thru the roof. She becomes unhittable and he becomes unhurtable. I love to drop them in a busy map and let them clean house.

Calill may be D tier, but giving her Dragonfoe and a Yune-blessed Siege Tome in Part 4-E (3) is extremely funny

I kind of love the Idea of this and would absolutely love it if you made such Videos for the other Fire Emblem Games too. I would be particularily be interested in how to make the worst Characters in Three Houses better (primarily Raphael, some would say Ashe, Caspar, etc.)

I'd considered how to fix Nino myself, and arrived at different solution. Her issue isn't that she requires too much investment. It's that even if you fully invest, she's barely better than your other Sages. Here's what I'd do: Keep her base stats the same (except +1 Con for Fire) drop her level to 1. We're going to force her to take about 8 additional kills before promotion. But she'll also get about 13 stat points out of it. Here's where the fun kicks in though, she promotes to Arch Sage. Instant S ranks, +2 to all regular stats compared to a Sage Promotion. That brings her stats up +25 compared to standard level 10 promotion, or -8 compared to level 20 promotion. But what's the point of instant S ranks when all the powerful tomes are so heavy? It's a non issue. SHE CAN'T READ! The girl's a prodigy, and just memorizes magic. It makes no sense that tomes would slow her down. 20 Con.

Was Lyn Mode really that bad? I honestly thought it was just fine, I guess.

Is Soren the best unit in the game, no far from it. Am I always going to use him cause character wise he's my fave in the series, absofuckinglutely and that would be true even if he was Lyre bad (though thank Yune he isn't)

13:30 I so think it's weird to give an EST unit an increase to her growths when she already caps her speed at level 20 and only gets +2 magic from a +10% growth increase. You might as well just give her a +2 to her base stats so she can start getting kills more reliably so she can become self sufficient faster. You can train her to level 20/1 over the course of Night Of Farewells alone. She has no issues with being trained or growing into a usable unit. I agree with increasing her con and staff rank but anything outside of that is unnecessary.

Duessel's aid is awful btw. Its only 10.

FE fans Always with the Lyn bashing saying she sucks because of HHM, while purposefully avoiding Lyn Mode like the plague, considering that to even unlock HHM you need to have cleared the game once andsurprise Lyn Mode gets the Hard version that disables tutorials so you can train her and other bad units in it, while also being a campaign you can get statboosters from. But nah, let's bash Lyn to the ground because le funny. Back in the old times if you paid for the game you played the fullgame, and Lyn mode is part of the experience, damn elitists.

Certain classes of infantry should move faster. That's a good buff to Lyn even if you change nothing else

I'm on the "FE7 is one of my favourites" boat. These changes sound super fun to play with, I really liked the theorycrafting. The one unit I'd handle differently myself is Karla: she joins as an underlevleled below-average pre-promote unit 3 chapters before the end, so I say let's make her into a super-Est, taking a page out of FE6 Karel. Maybe don't give her growths above 100 like him, but give the player a final dopamine rush of training one last unit who gets lots of EXP and almost-full level ups. The wind sword added to the inventory is great though, keep that one in.

Pelleas and sanaki both being overshadowed by micaiah in terms of leadership and utility sadly makes sense storywise lmaooo

i feel like in this scenario hector is still probably the better lord lol mani katti will break if youre actually consistently using lyn, once that happens she once again has no reliable way to dodge tank most enemies in the game.

So this is an old video so you might know by now but I believe the way skills work in path of radiance is that if a unit comes with a skill equipped, unequipping it will just destroy it. Unequipped skills can only be reassigned if you applied them in the first place I think

Clearly so many units have an absurdly high resistance growth as they all fear the Girl Scouts.

I once streamed a female only run of that game and the viewers were so perplexed by a sniper rebecca and a bishop serra XD. That made me appreciate these somewhat discarded characters tho

I was ready to get all mad about “Oh well some units should just be bad!” Like Nino sucks internally! But This Nino change is good because nothing really fundamentally changes about her and it just makes it… just a tad easier. Like she’s still bad but she isn’t weighed down and has some real up side if you just hate her

I got Dorcas to a level 20 berserker. It started as a joke, but he was probably my favorite unit on that run
