Nice! Thanks for watching. I would recommend Omega Level Toys and Comix. They’re right outside the city in Slidell. I’d also recommend Crescent City Comics over on Calhoun St. They are mostly a comic shop but have a cool selection of Marvel Select, DC icons, with a few Legends and Mezco figures.

I’ve got to agree with you. I’ve been posing him around with the broken wrist and have to say he’s the best Gambit in the 6” scale. Going forward I’m going to be really delicate with the wrist joints. The retailer said they’re going to try to get me a replacement.

They’re from the Japanese title sequence for the 90’s X-Men animated series. I wish those animators would have done the whole series. It would have taken it to another level.

The Mafex’s shoulders are too bulky and it makes for an awkward fit.

@@HarvestDisseminator Try the retailer. I tried contacting Mafex directly once for warped claws on my wolverine. They refused to do anything and only gave in after 2 months of me emailing them. They sent me the replacement but i had to pay for international shipping which cost around USD20

I just looked up the bootleg Venom and he may just be the same price as buying some joints to see what fits a Mafex figure best. Plus I’ll have an additional figure. Thanks for the suggestion. If the company I bought it from can’t send me a joint. This looks like the best option.

@@HarvestDisseminator the joint should fit from the bootleg venom. Plus the bootleg pegs are softer plastic and won’t break as easy. Having the mafex gambit in hand the plastic is hard and the ball joints on mine are stiff so I see why it would happen

Over all he’s a dope fig! I hope this was an isolated accident. I’m tempted to get the Wolverine, Cyclops, and preorder Jean Grey.

QC issues wouldn’t abound in such expensive figures

Mafex have stepped up alot since their BVS line, which was when I first got into Mafex. Their direct follow up Justice League line is much improved in every area - apart from their Cyborg, but hopefully their upcoming Snyder version should improve on that. Unfortunately there are a few duds every so often. Sloppy paint on Cyclops and Hush Superman, flimsy legs on the Spider-Verse Miles and of course the weak wrist pegs shown on this figure and the comicbook Spider-Man. Inexcusable at these prices. But there are some genuine 9-10/10 figures from them: The Justice League pair of Batman's, the pair of Dark Knight Returns Batman's (The Triumphant version has to he seen in hand to appreciate the phenomenal detail) and the Spider-Verse Peter B. Parker, with it range of accessories amd top quality soft clothes. I would suggest to watch videos, such as this first before purchasing if people are unsure. My Gambit has been on pre-order since 2020 and is about to be shipped, so this video serves as a good warning for me to be careful with it when it arrives.

The joints on Gambit all seemed to be fine minus the wrist joints. I think the thought ness caused the wrist to break.

@@HarvestDisseminator In the past Mafex / Medicom has used recycled plastic for a lot of their figures which has led to breaks outside the box with zero effort.

My Mafex Comic Spider-Man's wrist pegs broke within 5 minutes of me taking it out if the box. First one broke by me attaching another hand -I blamed myself, and thought I may have forced it too hard and should have heated the hand first - but literally seconds later, as I went to put the figure down after breaking the first peg, my hand only brushed past the other hand and it snapped off. Shocking. I own 50 Mafex figs and most are just fine, especially ones released since 2020. Some do have a few paint imperfections, loose joints or the annoying wire in the cape protruding out of the cloth at the shoulder a little, but nothing major. Apart from my Mafex Alien Xenomorph, that thing is hopeless.

I get the issue with storage, but the demand for old figures doesn’t go away. People are constantly wanting older figures and paying big money to acquire them. I would think the demand would pay for additional storage. Or if storage is a real issue make more as the demand presents itself and have people preorder them, that way they can go from factory to collector. Free trade can’t make that process too difficult I would think. I could be wrong, but I feel like supply and demand is there, and second hand sellers are making money that the producer (Hasbro) could be making. Drug cartels seem to get the principle…Lol. Collectors are addicts that want to buy the product at the going rate.

Normally, pre-covid, you can hear live music here almost around the clock. It’s a music lovers paradise.
