The Diadem was a fantastic race when scheduled in late November as the "leadup" to the Queen's Plate for middle distance horses (Like London News here). Still a great sprint on the Calendar but for me has lost a bit of it's magic where it is currently positioned. BTW Flobayou if I recall correctly is the only horse to achieve the Cape Sprint Triple Crown twice - Merchants, Diadem and Cape Flying Championship in the same season.
One of the deepest fields I can recall. Bushmanland, Special Preview, Counter Action, Shepherd's Moon, Amberpondo, Western Rocket, La Mancha, Tickets and Tax, La Fabulous.etc WOW

High Profile had loading issues at the stalls due to his size. Campaigned in the Cape Hunt and ridden by Justin Snaith to many victories under huge weights. This match race against a group placed Mark Watters trained The Decorator was held for Charity. If memory serves me correctly for one of the retired horse facilities. I have a feeling there may have been another match in Durban against Gr 1 winner Eldoriza later that year.

Awesome. Loved it. Thanks for upload. This gelding High Profile was a huge son of Dancing Champ out of Feminist. And The Decorator was not a bad horse himself having run 2nd to Empress Club in the Guineas. Great racing days.
I had the privilege of watching this wonderful thoroughbred at Milnerton and Kenilworth. What a Champ. RIP Big Boy. What a tragedy we never got to see his offspring....

Boy, I loved this horse - All Will Be Well was ultra consistent, ran against some of the best sprinter that decade, he will always be remembered
