Pretty sure I went to Uprising when you was on. Didnt you play when it was on in Club Excel in Chesterfield just before it moved to the Arches in Sheffield, would have been early 1999? That was when the DJ was dead high and the MC's were below. Enjoyed this, I've known Col a long time and went to half of these raves with him. Hes put the work in and done some serious mileage, have to respect that. Great podcast.

The atmosphere in the drome was unbelievable, nothing like it anywhere else, 🫶 lived for it, every Saturday night 😈

Shame we don't have Philly still with us for one of these, maybe get all the people who knew him to do one? He done great warm up sets in 91 of New York garage.

Been DJing since I was 13 years old , 43 now. DJ TRIX is my favourite DJ of all time. I remember night I was DJing in a bar, the Trocadera in the Markets in Belfast and when we finished, putting on old DJ TRIX mixes on CD and the place was bouncing in a trance , like hypnotised. The guy is a F*ck'n LEGEND.

Wow brilliant podcast. Love Trix he was like a god to me. When I first heard him. On that 3 deck Trix tape with just pig red letters saying trix on front. I remember it blowing my head of and say he was like DG. Stu Allan. Carl Cox. N Dazz will. Rolled in to 1. But on steds. Haha. I even had a lesson with Trix in seeds in Birkenhead. And he was impressed how quick I beat matched. Access and the future Jens lissat. He thought I flucked it. Bit I did it again. He saying I didn't need any help with that. So started me on. 2 tears for fears records. Shout and teaching me how to juggle them. Boss times. Then I gave him a hard house mix CD I did with my mate. And he ended up getting us to play at a night for him in the old atmosphere. But called it kaos. Haha was a great night. But not very busy. It's mad coz the date and time is es playing u looked at my watch. It was. 02.02am on 02/02/2002. Haha crazy

Went to a party after the drome one Saturday night in a flat in new brighton ways i think 🤷‍♂️🤔with a few people we knew from the drome ,one lad was called buzz ( thats all we knew him as ) haha couldn't make it up ah😂😂!! and trix (mike) was there , thought he was a a bit quite and shy and dare i say it , a bit odd but just thought he was a bit eccentric, but obviously now i know why. He was like a god back then and i was like theirs dj trix who's just been djing in the drome and he's stood in the corner looking out of place . What a legend .

This is class. What an interesting guy Trix is. He was the first big DJ I got to see. Under 18s at the Carlingford bay in Warrenpoint. Trix, Robbie Nelson, Gleave Dobbin and Dj Daryl. Blew my mind completely.

What a brilliant listen. As someone that bought tidy vinyl lots back in the late 90s and had all the hit decks volumes on cassette in the early 90s, this was extremely interesting to listen to.
