I guess your video is just the Purple Line. One more thing that wasn't clear: If you enter Union Station from the front entrance, there's no need to walk the length of the tunnel under the tracks to reach the subway entrance. There are entrances on both ends of the tunnel.
Correct. For some reason, they only list the B line on the entrance before the tunnel, so to not cause confusion for anyone who uses this video, I just time-lapsed through the tunnel and showed the D-line entrance. Thank you for adding the info 👍🏾🌴❤️
Couple corrections/useful additions: If you enter Union Station from the main entrance like you did, you can turn left after the main waiting room and enter the subway via a second entrance so you don't have to walk past all the Metrolink/Amtrak platforms. It's to the right of, yes, a Subway sandwich shop and a Starbucks. Second, if you are going to the Hollywood Walk of Fame or Universal Studios, take the B/Red Line, not the D/Purple Line. The B Line stops directly at both, no bus transfer needed. The B and D Lines share their first six stops, so if you are just going downtown or as far as Wilshire and Vermont (from Union Station), you can take either line. Third, the D Line is being extended, with the first part opening next year, but only until the VA Hospital. It is not being extended further to Santa Monica proper. Now, the existing E Line light rail goes to Santa Monica already, taking a more southern route, ending at Santa Monica pier. You can transfer to it from the B or D Lines at 7th Street/Metro Center. You can also take the A Line light rail at Union Station (entrance is right before the Metrolink trains) and take it west and then transfer at any of the next five stations, which are shared between the A and E.

At the 7th/Metro station you can also connect on the upper level to the E and A lines.
Sure would be nice if Union Station cleaned their disgusting bathrooms, and hired people who want to actually do their jobs w/ a smile on their faces.
They have hired more cleaning crews over the last year. The stations and trains are cleaner now.

you obviously don't live in LA. As a non car driver living in LA, life remains difficult as more car interface rail have been built. That's ok. That was majority of LA residents approved, but that has caused the broken dream for Bass.
How is it going to Disney and universal from the airport?
No subway service to either. But there are LAX shuttles to both locations. 🙏🏾🌴❤️
