Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) has released a new promotional film to raise awareness of the Horses For Courses equine ambassador programme it launched in March. The film features a number of former racehorses and their owners as well as racecourses who’ve taken part in the scheme this year.

I never thought I'd ever have an ex racehorse as a first horse. But I got one against all the advice I was given. He is the sweetest horse. He's a bit cheeky and sometimes a bit grumpy. He doesn't have a nasty bone in his body. He's tries so hard to please. I'm glad I got him. I wouldn't want him any other way.

Thank goodness Yogi finally mentioned how much ex racehorses have actually done. All our horses in training were taught to stand at the mounting block and hacked out alone, they are marvellous equines who love to work.
