I had the same problem with my FP240. Was slipping. Priced out parts and it too was like 4k. I said there a got to be a cheaper way. To the 2 magnets and armature to a machine shop to turn all the surfaces perfectly flat again. Works perfect now. $180 😁. Where about are you guys located. I've delt with Delta Power in Winchester Ontario aswell. I'm between Smith falls and Kingston.

Hydraulic pressure disengages the 4wd. So low pressure from the lift pump supplies the solenoid. Most of the time they are stuck in 4wd. That appeared to be a new solenoid. It really only goes together one way.

Theres a guy in alfred that does cylinders I haven't had issues there

The plug on the tractor uses an end for a semi tractor. You can get a complete assembly from a big truck supplier.
