Hey I vaguely remember this. I was at the 1989 National Jamboree too. Met Xeng guy on the foot steps having group photo. Not sure if he was a scout since he was not in uniform, but remember he said he was an eagle upon seeing my rank. I was with MN Troop 632 out of Viking Council for the Jamboree. Thank you for advice. I would say the same as you are saying. Please, keep everything clean so that everyone can benefit the fishing trip. What you and I do will affect everyone, if we don't help keep our society clean. It does not matter where you live. We all want to benefit the cleanest of our trip and vacation areas.

Very nice, those are some nice magnums. White bass multiply and grow fast, they have to be taken out balance out the ecosystem, they pray on fish fry in early spring, any kind of juvenile fry they will eat. They spawn, then wait until their own fry are 1-2 inch and gorge on them, late May early June is when that happen son Devils lake. If you like to eat them have at it, we toss them back down here in Texas, they run just as big too. Some people do eat them but we have other species that we prefer eating, then some days we just catch and release, I hate cleaning fish, I would rather let them go.

Being to that fishing spot over a decade ago. Still remember because of the bird nests. But too many Hmong so fish are near extinction. 8 hours drive from MN and stayed 2 days and caught nothing. There used to be no limit for white bass. There's now a limit of 20/day (40/possession). This goes to show how low white basses are now.

All that $$$ spent and sacrificed I would just use it to buy tuna and salmon. Healthier and in my opinion taste way better than white bass. $30 each at Sam's club. Use your $600-$700 gas money to buy it. If you want fun just go to st. Croix or Mississippi River plenty of fish to catch.
