What would be a better way to enter WIFI Passwords, search for Podcasts, Internet Radio Stations and Music? Doing the Old School Texting Method like on old non smart phones is better than moving a highlight around a list of letters like on video game consoles to enter your character's name. The Web Interface makes it a lot easier because you can just type in what you are looking for copy and paste from a search on Google or from a file manager or text file so if you have a large music library on your computer just copy and paste names from your music library.

The controls on the CD and the written manual are hard to read. Without this review mine would have been on Lock forever. Thanks so much for pointing out that the on/off button has three settings. I'm now up and running, my lid is still in tact and it IS very reasonably priced.

I bought this over Christmas, sick of Google nest and Echo. Had JVC ghetto blaster in the 80s , fab sound then, ..so took a chance and I have to say the sound from Gumy is truly fantastic!

Well, I just bought the speaker and then it’s under the specifications on Amazon. It says waterproof it doesn’t say water resistance it says IPX6 waterproof.

A musician trying to learn a song from a CD would use the slow speed along with the A-B repeat function. So, cool!

I've had this for a while now and it has a fatal flaw: when you make phone calls, it isn't smart enough to cancel the audio from when whoever you are calling is talking. They always echo to themselves on their end of the line. The audio quality isn't noticeably better than the DeWalt and real World application and if I could go back in time I would buy the DeWalt a second time (lost one) instead of this one.

You really need to read the instructions and then do some homework first.

Thanks for sharing. What file format did you format the sd card with? I tried fat 32 and it says it needs to be reformatted. Now, the only way the sd card inserts is if you have it upside down, with the metal contact points facing up. I have not seen any reviewer pointing this out. Thanks

Thanks for the review. I just bought one. I’ve been using Karafun for years. Maybe over 10 years now. There is an option for remote where people can scan the QR code and sign into the session and que their songs and add their name’s. You can also scan the QR code and control the que with your phone without touching the app.

Haven't bought this one, but with my pecsu p5s, you could take APKs downloaded elsewhere and install them manually, either from the browser or from loading them onto the micro sd card. Is that not possible here?

Don't get me wrong I enjoy my Touchscreen Samsung Note, but holy cow I miss that tactile feel. I still to this day miss my Blackberry Bold and Curve keyboard. That was my favorite phone to day. I loved typing on that thing. It felt so good. Even using the little mouse ball on it and later on the IR replacement to the mouseball in the center. I guess this is why I really love the Ipod Classics. Why I still have my Ipod classic and have it modded with larger battery and an internal SSD. I saw this Y1 the other day and thought holy cow this thing looks amazing, but it must be garbage. Reviews looked decent on it on Amazon but it is hard to trust reviews on Amazon sometimes. For a price of around 40 dollars it seems like a steal. I may get one as a backup or a beater MP3 player so I do not wear out my Ipod Classic which just has amazing sound. Granted the DAC on it is not quite as good as the wolfson (sp) DAC on the Ipod 5.5 gen but from what I can gather it is hard to tell the difference between the 6-7th gen Ipod classic and the 5-5.5 gen if just using regular quality headphones. The test I read about were all done side by side with like 3 grand worth of audio equipment hooked up to the IPods to really isolate the sounds. Not many people will be doing that and the difference is negligible between the two Ipods with just headphones. Anyway Back on track, this Y1 really seems pretty good so thinking about getting one for me as something to put audio books on and music I just want to listen to while I work out or something and save my Ipod Classic for when I want to lay down and really get lost in to music or hook it up to my late 70s early 80s hi-fi equipment my dad left me. For me that older equipment sound wise seems to be leaps and bounds ahead of the newer stuff. The older tubes and equipment inside those were just built for pure sounds and durability. I have had really good quality Stereo rack systems since then and they do not last as long and in my opinion do not sound as good, and my Ipod Classic sounds amazing when hooked up to it with my Bang & Olufsen hi-fi original speakers with my Mitsubishi R10 Deck, Dual brand Turn table and Nakamichi 3 head tape deck. lol Sorry for getting off track haha. But great video you did. Ironically I watched your Update video on the Y1 first haha.

Honestly, hard to find info on this thing, just got one for Christmas, and yeah, you can't make custom playlists on this, the three built playlists only take one song at a time, what you could do is make folders, but yeah, this think sucks for anything other than loading your favs, and having a dedicated player for them.

Whats the battery life like? And I'd assume you can just leave it plugged into the wall, or do you have to unplug it every time the battery is filled? I was looking at getting one for my wife, she has a bunch of old audiobooks on CD she wants to be able to listen to around the house and outside.
