Feeding Northeast Florida

When Giovanna found her pantry bare, with no money or transportation, she turned to Feeding Northeast Florida to help her make ends meet. Not only did she receive the food she needed, but she also made a lifelong friend at the food bank. Listen to Giovanna, or Gigi, as we have come to know her, share her story.

Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL) partnered with Winn-Dixie and the Winn-Dixie Gives Foundation for their Harvest Helpings initiative, a program that a full Thanksgiving meal to those in need across the food bank’s eight-county service area. The program began on November 14 in Clay County and concluded with a distribution in Duval County on November 21, 2020, just in time for the holiday season.
