My real one was 16.6 on the dot.
Awesome pedal
did you experience a huge volume drop if you go fully wet?
The Positive side of this model being made cheap. Fender is not putting or rather spending on components to mitigate the loudness. A good example of the opposite is the VOX pathfinder those amps have Resistors and LED component so the volume does not get out of hand. So people are removing those and turning the small one to head, or replacing the speaker for an 8 inch
This bass sucks! The bridge pickup is practically non-existent. Sold it 2 weeks later for twice the amount I paid for it. The neck played smooth though.
@@DavidMartinez-bb1gs my dude, you don’t buy these to keep them stock. They are upgrade platforms. But also having said that, my experience was definitely not the same as yours. Bridge was fine on mine.
I purchased an Ashthorpe cutaway acoustic guitar with a "genuine rosewood fret board.". It got damaged, I'm over my head in essentially building a new guitar from scratch. Long story short, the fret board is PLASTIC! It looks like real wood with real brass frets, but it's really molded plastic with brass frets. I didn't believe it, so I snapped my fret board in half, pure plastic! I'm sick over the money wasted on my acoustic. It's like totaling a brand new Ferrari after paying the last payment. I know it could have been worse with a name brand but still. So now I am hesitantly awaiting my Fojill FSG-60, claiming a genuine rosewood fret board, bone nut, maple neck, and redwood body. For $189.99 on Amazon it seems to good to be true but I'll see in about a week. So, I'd find a spot to scratch the fret board to make sure it's not plastic if I was you, well because of my experience, I will be scratching deep on mine. Thank you for the unboxing video! I was considering purchasing your strawberries and cream pj bass but I opted to a six string this month so I'll get my bass next month.
The resistance doesn’t tell you how it sounds
@@therollband1290 no it, just gives you an idea of the output. Being that they’re both ceramic magnet with copper wire you can safely estimate they are similar. And as someone with 2 real invaders, one new white, and one 80/90s era black, they indeed sound almost indistinguishable. Once Put through effects… any small differences that may have been detectable are lost. And even clean you can EQ them to sound similar.
wow the fender looks like a stock car speaker from a toyota matrix
A lot of Electronic DIY guys go beyond the speakers. Replacing the Input Jack and Pots for better quality parts, that way you get better dial in tone and overdrive. Also the chip that runs the amp is capable of handling a 4 ohm speaker. Just no at full volume
A DC resistance of 14.5k is a high gain pickup enough, so your verification verifies the adequate performance of the copy. Thanks a lot. The resonance peaks will be very similar, as slight differences in sound alone are almost impossible to distinguish in an ensemble. They are most likely plagiarizing the internal construction of the Duncan pickups.
it’s a myth that dc resistance is everything
I have this pickups from TEMU.I dont know how to whire. Can t you help me whith a diagram for 1 tone 1 volume 3 way switch.please.thank you.
Bruh. Google lol. Like there are diagrams ALL OVER THE PLACE. You could even just use the official one on Seymour Duncan's website? Or literally anywhere, it's not like different pickups (of the same type) use different wiring lol.
@@DatHombreIt’s a stupid question like asking for tabs or some questions about settings
I will be seeing this in the UK next month!
That beautiful moment when everyone knows the words to the song.
So mad I missed their last tour. Life gets in the way. I saw them twice the last two years at least. Sum will be missed!
What city
Phx,Az
I thought they refused to play this song live?
@@mcjsrn I never heard that. it’s their biggest hit. That would be an odd thing for a band to do.
Are you still enjoying your meteora? I wanna get one in sunburst so bad but wanna make sure it's worth the money
@@rhys997 I love it! After giving it a set up…. I consider it to be my end all be all guitar. It’s versatility…. It can do anything
@@rhys997 I perfer it over my American strat, if that tells you anything, but it will need a basic setup
Great show last night
Hubby and I just saw them play with Bush and Candlebox.. Best concert ever!
It was great night of music! 💯 👍
One of the best rock guitar players of all time! So talented!
@@HealthySurfStar I was blown away, I always loved the songs, but never gave him specifically any additional thought…. What a great mind opening experience to see him play live and begin to appreciate what a phenomenal talent he is.
Just saw them in Vegas, great show!
I can't believe that they didn't become WAY bigger than they did. Such an underrated band.
There's a story behind that as in they didn't want to labeled as a sound the same as other bands or some shit like that.
Cool dude 😊😊😊
Seen them back in the day Was a great show
Sad fox days.
I think I was at that concert in Nashville
Best band ever 😁
Need a ring for wvery finger, and a bunch of dollar store bracelets to be that good.
First time anyone's ever been sorry to see an sg go haha
A good Gibson SG is a very decent guitar. They vary in quality depending on the specific model but the good ones are very good. Those epiphone ones are complete garbage though.
@@paulmallon9292 all true
@@paulmallon9292not if you put the work into them. But generally yes out of the box as is. Trash.
@@RhoadesGuitars I meant out of the box.
I saw them in UT, it was great
So good!
Thanks for this!
Did you buy the case with it
@@GamersWorld22 my seller was “Austin Bazaar” on Amazon. They had it as a package deal for the same price or less than other sellers selling the guitar alone.
@@RhoadesGuitars Thats awesome
I havent messed with guitars in 20 years. I just picked this same guitar up. Can you share what it is you changed them to, and what tools are needed?
@@matthewfaith3515 I believe the brand was fleor or artec.either way probably the same pickup made in a Chinese factory for different brands. Soldering iron. Solder Wire (22AWG) Philips screw driver And a HH pickup wiring diagram. Note:it is possible to do it without new wire, but just incase it’s good to have on hand. Also a wire stripper.
Newest Squier Affinity strat. This is the most current iteration, started in '21. Would have come with a white pickguard for this color.
Just picked up the same 3 color burst HSS a week or so ago (almost got the birch green)- WOW. The neck feels incredible, so happy they went back to rosewood. Had it set up for 10’s and the guy got the action/intonation down perfectly. Couldn’t be happier. Sharing in your joy man- congrats on the new Strat! ✌🏼
Sweating bullets is goated
Well done! Great video and very informative!
Wtf
?
Dude, i bought my Fender Player series, a 2023. Pao Ferro has grown on me not gonna lie. When i saw the new Player series II and that it comes with ROSEWOOD i got seriously jelly, and i wish i'd waited till player series II came, but was clueless that the MiM would put Rosewood in their modells! MiMs are taking over i tell you! Both my Fender Stratocaster and Fender Fretless J bass is Player series Pao Ferro! I also have Squier Affinity Telecaster that i bought this year. I like it. Already done mods on my guitars tho so they are NOT original anymore lol :) Man i want a Player II series! Maybe i have to get a tellie or a strat rosewood idk! :P Well, tbh i HAVE to buy a scalloped fender stratocaster neck first tho, that i can't afford, have to save for a year first then maybe! LOVE the new player series, would ofc change the tuners but thats me! :D
Just wait till Player II necks will be available separately on eBay
@@Str1x87 hehe, you can already find fender rosewood necks, and there aint any difference on the MiM and US necks. Looking to buy scalloped rosewood, but it cost more than a Playert series guitar lol
I just ordered one! Miami blue with maple fretboard. Can't wait till she comes
I might buy the same guitar in red. Do the strings stay in tune when using the trem?
@@alafenetre81 yes they do! Within reasonable use. A guitar like this wouldn’t be suitable for dive bombs.
I have an all black Meteora and when I hang it up next to my Gibson RD Artist replica guitar they practically mirror each other. Hope you get a replacement soon. I love mine. My only complaint if I had to give one is it is a tad on the heavy side, half a pound heavier than my Les Paul. But I love playing it so I don't worry about the weight.
Keep playing. You'll be Rockin in no time ..
I like the Meteora, but I really liked the original. Cool video, to bad it had damage.
@@edwardsmith9801 by original do you mean the Telecaster configuration one? I thought that was beautiful in the yellow and black. But I already have a Tele, and I love the versatility of this player plus configuration. But I do wish I came in that Tele color scheme.
Non Reverse Firebirds look better
I thought SL stood for either slim line or studio light. I got the yellow one and I do not like single coils. I got mine for 80 bucks used at Guitar Center with the plan of using it for a project guitar. I replaced the single coils with mini humbuckers. I bought a bunch of graphics/decals and made it in the same colors as the Taxi in the 5th Element one of my fav movies. It was actually a pretty decent guitar right off the wall. I have had some very expensive guitars to some freebies I got given to me. Truthfully today the affordable guitars out there are amazing. These days I buy usually Pre Owned you can score some great stuff for a 3rd the MSRP. Lately i have been experimenting with brands like Firfly, LYX, and so far my favorite Leo Jaymz. I had issues with the Firefly's and the LYX is nice but the pick ups squeal like a pig. I am replaceing the with Epi pro buckers I bought off the gear exchange on Sweetwater.
I’ve got my buddies right now, it’s in need of some attention to say the least but I’ll get it fixed up ! Cool channel ! I just turned my basement living into a guitar workshop!! Good to see other dudes doing similar stuff !!
@@TheUlesifah701 heck yeah dude!
It sure is resonant! Wow! Even with no amp, it really sings!
This was the best concert ever! I was there at the Kia center watching the concert!!!
Thank you again! Amazing service and such a nice guy! Probably the most satisfied I’ve ever been with my instruments! Thank you so much again 😁😁
