Wait, how do you know? I always assumed you got merged with another lobby whwn the timer ran out.
Two reasons I can be confident in this: I regularly play with other people, and we countdown and join lobbies at the same time. Out of hundreds of races, we have only ended up in different lobbies maybe two or three times (unless it was obvious that we were off by a second and one ended and a new one began in that one second). The number of times lobbies run concurrently is definitely under 1%, probably under 0.1% or even 0.01%. Honestly, since this game benefits from having the most real players at a time, it wouldn’t even surprise me if having concurrent lobbies is a bug. But the second way I know is that I was not challenged much in this prix, and while I’m not bad, I’m definitely not good enough at this game to consistently sail far ahead of the rest of the pack, especially since it was the first time I’d played these tracks in classic mode.

my favorite part of this game
I hate running into blue bumpers. But when I die and become a blue bumper? Yeah, that’s a nice consolation. Reminds me of bomb karts from the older Mario Kart games.

Yep… I hate it when this happens. Such disappointment.
The number of times I've crashed out there. I did once save myself in spectacular fashion, though, hitting the ramp at the exit of the starting area after such a bump jump! It's only happened once, though... the rest were spectacular crashes!
The one consolation of death jumps like this is that the crashes usually are spectacular!

Appreciate the tip! Mostly I’m just using iMovie on my phone. It is not fancy. It does have speed control though… still need to get better at determining when to use that vs. freeze frame.

on mrc1, time your boost a little later so it can push you through the dirt. even better if it ends just as you jump. the extra speed actually pushes your car much further through the air like a stringray since you dont spend time accelerating in the air

I know, ha ha, it was funny but also embarrassing whenever one of us didn’t get in the first three spots. Not sure if it’s totally clear in the video, but one of the humans crashed out, so that’s why only two of us were on the podium at the very end.
