Ireland's piano music is some of my favourite music of all time. It's laced with feeling and controlled emotion. Plus, I find it humorous in the most subtle of ways. A musical visionary.

is the main theme of #3 (and especially at 15:25 ) supposed to be a quote from Beethoven's Eroica? Really interesting pieces, they feel more like operatic "parodies" than "fantasies"

Debussy’s late work is astounding. The Élégie is his last composition and it is devastating. Each note and gesture is refined and evocative. He distilled his craft down to the sparest of means yet delivers a deep and profound emotional landscape. Thank you for posting this breathtaking performance by Bavouzet.

The theme for Morning sounds to me like a child's loose approximation of the theme of Claire de Lune.

If you like this I've got loads of stuff in a similar state of completeness

My favourite composer for the piano. When I listen to his work, it’s like I’ve been given a questionnaire on what I’d like to hear in a piece of music, then someone’s gone away and fulfilled every suggestion.
