A Few Notes On Winding Yard String Trimmer Line
มุมมอง 5910 หลายเดือนก่อน
The invention of the string trimmer for yard maintenance was a huge time saver. Gone are the days of the push mower or hand shears for trimming out in places the main mower can't reach. I have both a Sun Joe and an older Earthwise trimmer. Sun Joe makes no real mention of how to wind the trimmer line. They much prefer you buy the prewound line from them at a premium price. Here is how to wind t...
Earthwise and Sun Joe String Trimmer interchangeability
มุมมอง 825ปีที่แล้ว
I had to retire my Earthwise ST-00015 trimmer due to parts being unavailable (Spool Cover), so I started looking around for a replacement trimmer. After seeing an online review on the Sun Joe TRJ13STE, I started noticing more than a few similarities between the two. As it turned out my old Earthwise trimmer has a new lease on life and it's successor could keep me in trimmers for years to come.

มุมมอง 223ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a simple DIY that can save you both time and money! Save that old leaky cartridge! They can be reconditioned and reused. Gone are the days when a couple of O-Rings could fix your Kitchen Faucet. Today they use replaceable Cartridge assemblies. Since they are modular, they are easily replaceable but can be quite costly at $15-$50 in parts to swap one out. Add the cost of a plumber and th...
DIY!! A Weiser Keypad Door Lock with Android/iPhone/WiFi control using an ESP32 Seeed XIAO
มุมมอง 171ปีที่แล้ว
A repair here was not an option.. Time and the elements had destroyed the external keypad. It looked fine but didn’t work. The remainder of the lock worked perfectly, so I started looking at an IOT upgrade. This is a practical application of the ESP32 SEEED XIAO. I’m definitely NOT a C programmer and have had zero training in C or C . I just adapted the sample Public Domain code to meet my need...
An External powered ESP32? Program or monitor it at the same time!

Resurrecting my Earthwise ST-00015 String Trimmer
มุมมอง 809ปีที่แล้ว
I've had this Earthwise Model ST-00015 trimmer for several years now. Earthwise makes a good product, but spare parts are extremely limited. You can buy a new line spool, but not much else. As you'll see in the video it is showing it's age and parts are wearing out that can't be bought new from any source. Here is how made my own spool cover and put my unit back in service.

Filling Your In-Sink Soap Dispenser Without The Mess!
Love the info Sir...is there anything you can get for the USA...?????
so glad to come across this video 6 years after you making it. Quick fix and got the job done. Thanks
Me and my sister took a look under the sink and could barely see the empty dispenser bottle wayyy in the back and I said Well, that ain’t gonna happen. 😂 So glad that TH-cam is here just for this reason AND that your videos was available. Thank you!
Mine starts but shuts back off when I release the start button.
Great video as usual Mr. ED. As I always do, any updates on the GT. Have a blessed day. 😊
480p video? Really?😂
Seems like a really cool project! I want to do something similat
This video is as straight forward as you can get. Thank you sir! I have calibrated hundreds of complex scales for seed research combines over the last 10 years but I was totally lost when my little 20 dollar bathroom scale needed it. Other videos on "how to calibrate" these analog scales were all just people moving the dial to 0 and stepping on it.haha You actually took them apart and gave very detailed explanations of the parts, best tools to use, HOW TO CALIBRATE and helpful tips to avoid the frustration of trying to piece it all back together. I didn't watch past the first scale cause I already learned what I needed. Although it doesn't show you physically calibrating the scale, it still explains the whole process step by step and then some. Some people are visual learners only I suppose but I wanted to let you know that out of the 10 or so videos I watched yours is the only that has useful information and actually relates to calibration. This is the exact video I was looking for so thank you sir!
Standing on a step ladder and stepping into a bag of leaves is going to cause a person to fall soon than later. This not a wise way to compress the leaves. As some one else said, at age 75 which is my age too, using s step ladder and standing on the bag is not for me. Pushing the leaves down with gloved hands works well enough followed by folding over the top of the paper bags and then sitting on top of it. Much safer. I usually take a short break sitting on the bag after filling each one! I use a hand-held blower/vacuum to pick up the leaves and put them into a large wheeled plastic garbage container using a Worx hose system with cloth cover for the garbage can. That works very well to pick up, mulch and compress the leaves but does take quite a bit of time unless I blow the leaves into large piles first. It is not the ultimate solution as pulling Garbage Can behind me is a bit of a chore. Then I carefully dump the leaves out of the plastic garbage can into the lawn bags using a plastic cardboard type of insert or an expandable cloth type insert. There is some spillage but I can pick that up with the hand-held vacuum after filling each bag. Due to the weight of the compressed mulched leaves I only fill the bag to 3/4 full. I am going to try a Troy Bilt chipper shredder vacuum next year after using a blower to blow the leaves out of the flower beds and away from trees and fences. Not cheap to do as the Troy Bilt costs about $1,000.. After that I may just hire someone as I age out.
Yep. That's why I started using two old brake rotors. It's in another video.
All remedies in interner proved nothing ,my ooinion is when gas pressure in can is decreased ,this happened
The paint just drys in the nozzle. Now I agree contact clear is a better option.
NiMH will overheat with the original charger, why not use NiCad batteries?
Well, both are obsolete technology. I used the newer technology. The trick is to keep the charging voltage as low as practical.
Thank you!!
Use the setup from a 1990 econoline
Thank you for this video it was a great refresher especially on this brand
You shouldnt use Dialectric grease for attaching the ignition control module to the distributor, you need to use thermal paste. One brand name is Thermalright. Dialectric grease does not transfer heat adequatly and will lead to premature failure, i learned this the hard way
The stuff I used is GMs recommended application. I'll keep your suggestion in mind.
You added, or replaced that spring in the check valve? Is there oil in there?
I've gone thru several iterations since this video. This device continues to cause endless frustration. There may be another video showing current lessons and tribulations.
@@EdHumble Tell me about it, I keep trying and keep thinking I got it but then it fails. I'm just not able to give up, but this is becoming foolish. I suspect I'll tear it all apart and find nothing wrong and all along it'll have been some dumb adjustment or something.
It’s Sunday today, and I’ve got a flat!
Thank you!
Will this work on 2012 accords? Key start
According to the auto supply industry, not the same application.
You sound like Johnny Bravo
😮
I don’t disassemble my reel lawnmower I use round diamond grinding stone, no lubricant necessary I go up and down the blades it works fast and easy i’ve been doing it for 20 years.
Wonderful video sir. I’m not mechanically inclined, but I’m trying to save money by doing whatever repairs I can do that aren’t too hard for novices. The hardest part was getting the wheel lock screw back in while upside down and not being able to see the dang hole.
I know it’s old but thank you for this video.
My connector for antenna broke off how do I replace it.
Game, Set, Match. Time to buy a new one.
Thank you so much for these videos Ed. I just bought a USB Microscope of Amazon, in an attempt to learn about soldering and your videos are instrumental in understanding the poorly documented software available. So once again thank you <3
Thanks Ed!
Listen bro idk who you are but i will pray for blessings because you got my dad's watch that stopped working, working again after a long time even though i put a new battery on it Thank you so much bro!

I use MXLinux, so I'm out of the loop there.
Thanks for the info

Is this the same glen that leave the review on auto zone 😂 I’m about to change mine I been having the same issue I change starter, battery, relay, fuses still having the intermittent start thanks for the video
@@julianmassiah Yes I left the review on AutoZone. It fixed the issues in my Dad's Accord. This video is great to show you all the little tricks to getting the old ignition switch out. And it made the job not bad at all.
@@julianmassiah yes it is me. Yes this video is a great help. It shows all the tricks you need to change the ignition switch. My Dad's Accord has been no issue with starting since.
Do you have the video of how to get to the ignition switch, taking the panels out? If you do, a link would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
did not work for me, 3 full cans and not one is spraying. On to another video maybe I'll find something that works

What
As a fellow scientist I felt compelled to comment and ‘Tip my hat’ to you sir! The creative ingenuity displayed in the video along with your focus on a clear and concise methodology (undoubtedly you can’t take the engineering mindset out of an engineer ….nor would you want to do so ◎◍🙏🏽). I believed it important and wished to acknowledge how you effectively meshed together the ‘traditionally’ formulaic experimental method with the Modern DIY mentality. The digital information revolution has removed the majority of impediments limiting penetrability to various ‘skill-sets’ and knowledge-bases which until recently were the sole domain of specialized ‘masters’ and ‘experts’. Regardless of the historical context and lens one sees through; the master & apprentice system, knowledge gate-keepers, or the modern University industry, all of this wisdom is now open to those willing to ‘LEARN!’ It seems almost foolish to not take advantage of this abundance of scholarship by learning how to ‘Do-It-Yourself’ aka DIY and thus ‘create’ what you need (assuming one is physically and mentally able). In sum, your approach is invigorating and I sincerely believe you have a real knack for combining the procedural and analytical disciplines from the sciences, with the mentality, creativity and ethos of the modern ’Maker’ movement!
Thanks. That ME degree does wonders. More coming.
You Are a Genius, Thankyou!!
So how to replace the line in SunJoe? Brand new, lost instructions, got maybe 5 minutes use, then string ran out. How to install new line? Thank you. (I'm a greenhorn...)
