That doesn't answer the question though, if you ask why do I not like this version id answer with an explanation. I'm just curious because I don't see it. Is it because of the repetition of "gotta get up, gotta go" or "here we go", the attempt of adding orchestral moments, the use of the shock to the system catchphrase, the strange way someone just yells out "static Shock"? What specifically do you consider the reason for your preference of this intro that I don't find Superior to the other ones.
Because: 1. "get up gotta go" line is like telling virgil, to start his day. which sounds cool. 2. As virgil was approaching the door, singer was like "oooooooooh" telling us oh snap, trouble coming. Everytime he leaves the house, trouble awaits him. 3. Right after that, music switched from gotta start my day theme to time to be a superhero theme. That's cool. 4. The song matches with the fight scenes 5. When ebon appeared, song was like "here comes the giant shadow antagonist ebon, can static defeat him tone. As statics started blasting him, song was like "can he do it? Will ebon be defeated?" And after a brief silence, *DUN* static did it 6. And when static met richie scene and the song was like " he's done and resuming his life as a student. Overall it's a heart pumping theme. There you go.

I like it because the extra orchestral bits give it a much more upbeat vibe than the usual version does IMO Just my opinion
