Just Jesus Stories with Patrick Mead Part Fifty-Three
Greetings from Acworth, Georgia! I was looking for a sermon to share with my father and this was exactly the right one. Thank you always for teaching about Jesus and love.
We judge others by their actions and myself by my intentions. In other words Patrick, you are always messing up and I always have good intentions. Thank you Patrick for all of your words of wisdom.
Try like 192,023 years
You missed the point of what he was saying. Jesus transformed the world with twelve of the most unlikely men. 2,000 years later, people are still surrendering to the will of God and believing in His Son.
@ no proof 🤷
@@WestElizebethHobosYa The Gospel The entire Bible centers on a single, surprisingly simple theme: God loves you so much that He made a way to be forgiven for every sin, so you can spend eternity with Him. That's the essence of the gospel, and the central subject of the Scriptures. The written Word of God is intended to help us understand this "good news." By studying the Bible, we learn that each person needs to be saved (Romans 3:23), each person can be saved (Romans 1:16), and God wants each person to be saved (2 Peter 3:9). What separates us from God is sin. No matter how good we think we are, every person is guilty of sin (1 John 1:10). Since God is absolutely perfect, no one deserves to spend eternity in heaven. Instead, we deserve to be separated from Him forever (Romans 5:16). No amount of effort, no good deeds, no money, no talent, no achievements are enough to take away this guilt (Isaiah 64:6). Fortunately, God doesn't want us to be separated from Him, so He made a way to fix what's broken (John 3:16-17). That one and only way is through faith in Jesus Christ (John 14:6). God Himself came to earth, as a human, living a perfect and sinless life (Hebrews 4:15). He willingly died as a sacrifice to pay the debt for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21). According to the Scriptures, anyone can be "saved"-forgiven by God and guaranteed heaven-through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:13). This isn't a call for blind, ignorant belief (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1). It's an invitation from the Holy Spirit to submission and trust (James 4:7). It's a choice to let go of everything else in order to rely entirely on God. There is nothing anyone can "do" in order to be saved. The only way a person can find salvation is by accepting Jesus Christ as their savior. This simply means believing that... * I am a sinner, who deserves God's judgment (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23). * Jesus Christ is God, and He came to earth as a man (John 1:14). * Jesus died, in my place, in order to pay for my sins (Romans 8:3-4; Hebrews 10:14). * Jesus came back from the dead, as He said He would (Romans 4:25; Mark 8:31). * I am trusting in Jesus' sacrifice, and nothing else, in order to save me (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:5). * As best I know how, I am turning away from my sins, putting all of my faith (trust) in Jesus to save me (2 Corinthians 7:10; Acts 16:31). That's it! Anyone who truly believes those things is forgiven, changed from the inside out (James 1:18; 2 Corinthians 5:17), and destined for heaven. The gospel is simple enough for anyone to understand (Matthew 18:13), but very difficult for people to accept (Romans 1:20-21). The truth of the gospel means we are not perfect. We are not in total control of our lives (Psalm 39:5). We cannot save ourselves. We need something "more" than us to make things right (1 Thessalonians 4:8). Becoming a Christian is not about being better than others. The gospel is for those who admit they are weak and need to be rescued (2 Corinthians 12:9). That's a hard truth, but everything we learn from the Bible proves this truth. Each theme explored in Scripture points towards this gospel message of sin, redemption, and salvation through faith. It's the most important decision a person will ever make: do I accept what God offers, or do I turn my back on it (Matthew 7:13)? Which one will you choose (2 Corinthians 6:2)?
Always have been the snobs. Jesus Christ looked at the heart.
Congratulations. Love listening and being encouraged!
Thank you for sharing the Good news o

Buenos días!! From Florida😊
I grew up with John Clayton’s series “Does God Exist,” and I work in medicine and the Coroner’s office. So I greatly appreciate science and all of your explanations about this topic.
I also grew up with John Clayton. He was very popular in Canada.
Does it not take both??
I think Josh's point is that Christians DO talk about the love of Christ but don't demonstrate it enough for people to believe them. He is wanting us to get the balance right.
🙏
The meek shall inherit the Earth.
All Good News!
Someone who died and came back said they seen the most beautiful green grass and landscape they couldn't even have imagined.
Many people who have had life after death experiences have described beautiful, light filled places. Whether this happens in our minds or if they’re solid, doesn’t really make a difference. Jesus proved that even “real life” is an illusion when he can walk on water and walk through walls. He holds everything together and science tells us that the smallest parts of creation are constructed of power, not material.
Patrick, I am watching this series again, which I recall enjoying on the first watch. I am especially moved by this message that reminds us that God's kingdom has nothing to do with the standards of this world and its social systems, class, identity, politics. The Holy Spirit is here to help us to what Jesus asked us to do: feed His sheep. God bless you and the work you are doing for Him.
@@marcieschweitzer566 thank you for all the kind comments and for your continued encouragement and engagement with us. You and Ric rock!

Hello church from Houston, TX.
Senecaville Ohio 👋🏻
The time it takes to do these series and respond to people must be astronomical. Thank you for your time and sacrifice. What a difference you are making. Bless you and your work.
They didn’t use to be they are still pagan even the Satanic Church practice keeping pagan Christmas and Easter. God and Jesus Christ will never accept paganism even if religions people profane Jesus by saying associating HIM a with paganism. Bible says do not mix the Holy with the profane believers do not act like the pagans.
The Bible say not to mix the Holy with the profane. That is what Satan has deceived many to profane Jesus Christ name with paganism, like Easter , Christmas and Sunday sabbath. Just because man thinks they can practice paganism by putting Holy Jesus Christ name on pagan things doesn’t make paganism righteous. God has HIS Own Holy seven Feast both Jews and Gentiles believers are to keep instead of pagan holidays. This is one of the reasons the Church is going through the Great Tribulation to remove all the paganism allowed in the Church.
Yes. Hallelujah
I also have the NT by David Hart. It's amazing.
For a serious researcher, perhaps the most difficult aspect of researching these various origins, traditions, and assumed ‘truths’ about holidays, is sifting through all the data and separating what is historical _fact_ from the myth, legend, and, even, religious propaganda by some denominations of what is historical _fiction._ It’s not an easy task. Indeed, what makes this even more difficult, is that so many of these ‘’facts”, suppositions, and assumptions are so ill-researched and have been repeated for so long, that they have essentially become accepted as truth. One can find these asserted ‘facts’ in everything ranging from various educational websites to entries in dictionaries and encyclopedias, and even in (some) scholarly articles which, I think, only makes researching the actual origins quite difficult. People are just repeating what they’ve been told and assume to be true without question. But what we find after close examination and scrutiny, is that the accepted origins and traditions of holidays come from the latter (historical fiction), rather than the former (historical fact). The idea that holidays are pagan comes from die-hard Protestant fundamentalists in the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries. In those centuries, many Protestants regarded holidays like Christmas, Easter, All Saints' Day/All Souls' Day, etc. as “popery” and therefore sought to discredit them by linking them with ancient paganism. When we celebrate these holidays, we are definitely participating in a tradition with deep historical roots. But those roots are firmly situated in an early and/or medieval Christian past, not an ancient pagan one.
Who is “WE”? Look what Jesus said John 17:17. Man cannot change what God said for us not to do.
Your right it's all about equally yoked partnerships.
I reference your comments and stories so often I frequently leave your name off because that becomes annoying. E.g “Patrick said…” And “Patrick shared…”. And I know you don’t care. Thank you for all of your wit and wisdom.
Thank you for all you are doing! I use many examples from your Monday series in my class discussion👏👏
Hallelujah hallelujah 🙏
