Hi Everyone, I’m Todd and I live in a van down by the river, in the desert, in the forest at a rest stop. I’ve been dwelling in vehicles for almost 10 years. Mostly urban stealth camping in Los Angeles. 8 months in a 99 Nissan Maxima, 5 years in a 01 Chevy Safari and almost 4 years in my 2012 Chevy Express.✨
VAN LIFE | GETTING COOKED IN LOS ANGELES
I'm in Los Angeles enjoying time with friends while in a daily battle with the electronic magnetic frequencies.

Why not go somewhere else? Like the mountains.
I would love to be back in the mountains for sure. I was riding on my savings all year hoping my TH-cam channel would start making some money, but that has not happened yet. So i ran out of money and I’m back in LA so I could get on General Relief until I figure out my next endeavor. 🤓
Those electromagnetic fields are intense in the big cities. Especially now with 5G. Time for more Protection stones… good thing it’s almost time to head out of the city…see ya soon 🙏🏽
They are intense for sure. 😩 I’m sure it would worse if I wasn’t wearing my protection stone that was given to me by my amazing wonderful friend. ❤️🙏
Love the music, when are you heading back to the desert? I wish you well on your journey ❤
@@msschauerify Awwww thank you, I hope to be back out there during the winter months sometime. 🤓
Ok, that’s humorous.
Thanks, that video usually drives people crazy, I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🤓
So cool 😎
Awwww thanks. 🥰
Wow! 🔥✌🏽
@@VanJoplin Thanks! 🤓✌🏼
I do not miss that traffic! I would be immensely grateful to know a place to park in North Hollywood for when I’m back out there this winter looking for my son. He’s homeless in Hollywood, Sunset/Vine area. I usually just tuck up on the PCH north of Malibu but would love a spot closer! Thanks!
A good area to park overnight is around the Vineland & Sherman Way area. Sherman Way, west of Vineland seems pretty popular for RV’s.
@@369VANLIFE Thank you so much!! 😁🙏🏼💜 I just looked on the map and I go to that Planet Fitness right there 🤣🤣 Classic!!
@DivineMojo Your welcome! 🤓
Chew your liquids and food for 30 sec for good digestion. 👍😎
Lots of chewy and swishing for sure. 😂
@@369VANLIFE Yup 😂
I felt like I was really there with you in LA traffic 😩 😂
That traffic is always ON, if you wanna join in the fun. 😂
Showers 🚿 what’s that !?! 😂
And it’s permanent with easy access. 😂
I'm sorry your not feeling good! Get better soon 🙏🫶
Awwww thanks. 🥰
As kids we used baby oil or gasoline. Gasoline takes it off really quick.
I bet gas takes it off easy.
Nice 🔥
Thanks.
Thank you for this posting, I needed this today for sure of the ocean. i do hope you feel better soon.
Thank you. 🥰
Feel better soon🙏 Love the slo mo and music in this one. Also, loved the crystaline sparkles of the ocean. Believe it or not, WD40 or baking soda paste will remove that nasty beach tar.
Awwww thanks, I appreciate that. I’ll keep the WD40 and baking soda idea in mind for next time. Can you use WD40 on your skin? 😂 I ended up using a microfiber towel and alcohol, so it wasn’t too bad. 🤓
You're not soaking in WD40, so it should be ok during the removal process. Making a baking soda paste might be a better holistic remedy, plus you get a magnesium boost 🤗 Spray WD-40 on the area of your skin covered in beach tar. Make sure to liberally spray the area and fully cover the tar in this lubricant. Allow the WD-40 to soak into the tar for 3-5 minutes. Allow enough time for the solution to begin breaking up the tar naturally before you even begin wiping it off. Fill up a bucket with warm water and add a square or two of liquid dish soap (Dawn). Mix the water and soap in the bucket until it develops a consistent foam. Take a scrubbing brush and dip it into the water. Make sure the scrubbing brush is nice and soaked through with the soapy water. Use the scrubbing brush to begin scrubbing the WD-40 soaked tar on your skin. Scrub gently and in a circular motion until the tar is completely removed. Repeat the process if you’re dealing with particularly stubborn tar. Just keep spraying it with WD-40 and scrubbing it with soapy water until the stain is totally removed from your skin.
@@SwordoftheSpirit_617 Cool, thanks for the instructions. 🤓
Oh no! You shouldn't have to waste so much time getting that tar off the soles of your feet I'm so sorry you didn't have any Goo Gone! When I was visiting my niece out west and that happened I almost crap and she said no worries and I had it off in less than 5 minutes with the Goo gone 👍
Goo Gone, I’ll have to check it out, thanks. I ended up using a microfiber towel and alcohol. It went smoothly except it’s a little tricky between the toes. 😂
Not to bury the lead, but I'm super loving watching your editing evolve from video to video! Anyway, hope you're feeling better soon! For that tar, use something like Dawn dish liquid - it's what they use to clean birds after an oil spill...or you can probably even use something oil-based, like mayo, to break it down. Rubbing alcohol will clean some of it off, but (as you probably now know) it will spread the stickiness over your entire foot, even when it looks clean.
Awwww thanks, I appreciate that. 🤓 I love doing the editing but if I take myself too deep sometimes too many hours are consumed in the process. 😂 I’m feeling better, thanks. I went from 70 degrees, to 90 and then back to 70 in one day so that may have been a factor. As far as the tar cleaning, I ended up using a microfiber towel with alcohol. I didn’t feel any stickiness after so that will probably be the method of de-tarring myself. Good to know about the Dawn just in case. Initially I tried baby wipes but that was going know where. 😂 Thanks again, I always appreciate seeing your comments. ✨🤓
@@369VANLIFE There's no perfect edit. One could probably rabbit-hole for years on a single video and still be making edits to make it better still. Especially when you find it entertaining and fun. Sorry for the misinformation. I called my buddy about the rubbing alcohol/tar thing and he reminded me that it was the resin coating on our hands after a "trim" that was exacerbated by the alcohol, not tar. What. It was 4:20 when I commited it to memory. Allegedly. 💨
@@NomadicPride 😂😂
The ocean views were so serene and peaceful 🌊 💎. Get well soon 🙏🍉
Awwww thanks Debra. 🥰
How do you pay for gas, repairs, food, healthcare
I’ve been living off my savings for the past year. I’m planning on living off my TH-cam income once my channel grows. Also I’m a musician, so I can do some busking to make ends meet.
@@369VANLIFE OK, so at the moment, your money is finite. Just curious how you pay for all this. TH-cam and busking. OK...
Great camp sight been there . Looking over Ojai Valley
Nice, yeah it’s a most beautiful view of the valley from up there. 🤓
23$ for a burger ? over my dead body ! loll btw, you're not messed up, I get bored if there's not enough and don't like when there's too many people too 😮😂
Oh yeah , I love heat. Camped for a month on Klamath River near Yreka. It was 90 the whole time 🌞😎
I looked it up, It looks amazing up there. ✨🤓
Beautiful sunset 🌄. Yeah ! a simple shower set up. I love that !!
Thanks Debra! Yeah you can get in a quick one with that set up. 🤓
like your videos ,you can tell the people that live in there vans and and the people that don't thanks for being real
Thank you! 🤓
Ojai is on our list too!!! Thanks for the can tour!
I don’t think I’ve seen your list. 😂 Yeah it’s amazing up there. ✨🤓
Ive been wanting to explore Ojai . Thanks for scooping it out first. 🎈
It was beautiful up there. ✨🤓
I really like your handle. 😊
Thank you! I’m assuming you mean my channel name. With each generation coming up with new meanings for stuff, I gotta check. 😂
@@369VANLIFE 😂🐽😁👍🏼👍🏼! Yes, better safe than sorry, ✅!
Covered windows would give me the idea that somebody is camping in the van.
Yeah that’s pretty good sign that someone’s in there. 🤓
Not if you're in a hot, sunny state. In FL it's common to see windows covered with reflective. I used them before van life, actually my entire life. Who wants to get into a boiler? If it's a heat index of. 98 then the vehicle will most likely be 140. Depending on how long you've had it in the sun.
@@michellepasc7564 Wow, people cover all their windows in that heat and humidity when they’re not even sleeping in their vehicle? I used to wake up the the San Fernando valley at 10:30am and it would be 104 in the van. But that’s a dry heat, nothing like what y’all go through. 🥵
Is that really apple juice? Or…. Love the aliens 👽
I beg your pardon, 2 out of 3 of those were apple juice ma’am. 😂 I think your talking about my alien tray. A sweet lady gifted me that. 👽 🤓✨
Nice spot! I live 2 hours from San Diego, WAY TOO much traffic around the beach areas, but I like Coronado Beach and the Beach at Del Mar. Ventura looks like a great place to stealth camp. I enjoyed the change of scenery for you! This was a nice video to watch and relax to... I'm on a driving trip with family to visit relatives in Placerville, Sacramento, and Clearlake in Northern California. The thing is, we started off in Prescott Valley, and tonight we are staying at a hotel/casino in Pahrump, Nevada. It's hot here! I'm sure wishing I was at the cool beach! 😆 Tomorrow, we are doing an 8 1/2 hour drive all the way to Folsom to our next hotel. Take care and I hope you enjoyed that nice, cool weather!
Awww thanks Deb, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The beach traffic in LA gets so congested especially on the weekends. It took me 2 hours once to find a spot to pull over between Santa Monica and Malibu. Yeah I drove all the to way to Malibu and back to find a spot. 😂 It took me 5 minutes here on the weekend to get a parking lot spot. Lots of free parking near the beaches here and cool temps. I think they’re a bit more strict here as far as stealth camping. I don’t see the cluster of vehicles like you do in LA. Everyone seems to park in the industrial areas for their over night spots.
I hope your trip goes well. Are you making a video? 😂 Yeah it’s hot out there where your at. 🥵 I’m came across the California desert where it was 107. Hot! Safe travels. 🤓✌🏼✨
You could have stayed in Arizona and had sand on your feet 🥵🔥🌵
I suppose I could have went to a lake looking for some beach action but the last lake I was at was surrounded by dirt. It doesn’t feel the same on your feets. 😂✌🏼
@@369VANLIFE #desertsand
Nice views! I'm taking a guess. Were you humming the baseline to a Sly and the Family Stone song?? 😊
Thanks! And yes I was. I had been listening to them before I took off for my walk. Good ear! 🤓✌🏼
@@369VANLIFE Dude it's a great song! ✌🏽

Hey G! 🤓✌🏼
I love your peaceful shots of Nature 🙏💖
Awwww thanks Debra, that nature is pretty awesome. ✨🤓
It’s always colder by the ocean 🌊. I like heat , at least 80. I’m a cold 🥶 frugavore otherwise 😂
Yes it is, it’s been in the low 70’s here, that’s a good fruit eating weather for me. 😂
🙏💦🌞🎵. Nice shot at the end. Peaceful 💎🩵
Awwww thanks Debra. 🤓
That brake check is for commercial vehicles.
Thanks.
Van life is more fun than home life. I will be adopting this lifestyle in 10 years from now.
What a ride! I hope you can fully enjoy the ocean. Any body of water is healing for me, but oceans carry a lot of life. <3
Thanks Dee. Yeah the ocean is healing for me, I can feel the effects when I’m out there especially when I’m walking on the wet sand. 🥰
@@369VANLIFE absolutely. Enjoy your moments. 🥰
The framing of that shot at the end where you're looking at the ocean was so fire. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, it took hours to set it up. ✌🏼😂
Welcome back ❤
Awwwww thanks. ❤️🥰
Oh, and I think that velvety plant is lamb's ear. If it is, it can be used as a natural toilet paper...if you run out while camping! LOL!
Thanks Deb, good to know just incase. Those velvety leaves may come in handy some day. 😂 🧻
Woah, close call with your guitar! 🤣Hee hee, at least you can look back and laugh now. I like the color. If you haven't thought about it, please add in some guitar playing. I tried to learn how, but I ended up taking piano, as well as played the flute in Jr. High/High School. I enjoyed your short with the acoustic guitar playing! 😃 edit - oops you DID include some playing! Yea!
Thanks Deb, yeah it was close. I’m glad the guitar is in one piece. It’s cool you took piano and flute in Jr. High. I wish I would of done that. We played “Recorders” in elementary school. I didn’t play it too well but I was good at moving my fingers quickly giving the illusion that I knew what I was doing. 😂
🔥
I was like - cast already!! LOL I hope you had fun and someone caught some yummy fish,.
I know Dee, I’m just jabbing away, holding my pole, forgetting that I’m fishing. 😂🐟

Cute town
Very cute. 🐓🤓
Link this to Fender! I bet they send you a new one just for showing how amazingly it protected your guitar!
I think I’m going to do that. Another subscriber suggested the same thing. 🤓
Oh no 😢…at least it serves 💞
It could have been way worst if my guitar was in 2 pieces. It’s so hard to play it like that. 😂
whew! that was a close one! that hardshell saved your tele! glad you didn't have it in a gigbag! that tree was amazing! wow!
Todd so sorry about your case. Just an idea but email a pic/video to Fender. I know this is not its intended use for a hard case but you never know they may send you a replacement. 😊✌🏽
Awww thanks, that’s a good idea. 🤓✌🏼
Haha you are a genius creator or need medical help 😂
