Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated with snakes. I can remember as a kid checking out every single book I could find on them at our local library! I got my first pet snake at the age of 12, which only fueled my passion for them. Over the years my hobby of keep various colubrids, pythons, and boas later grew into keeping rattlesnakes, and cobras. I am a maker of reptile and amphibian husbandry supplies.

Storage Container Cage (Do It Yourself) PART 1
DIY video on how to make a reptile enclosure from a 55 gal storage container. This video will cover the items needed to complete, and install the frame. Part 2 will feature the assembly and installation of the ventilation screen, as well as the glass door track. The vast majority of the items needed for completion can be found at Home Depot or Lowe's. The glass was sourced at a local glass and mirror shop. The door track and finger pulls were purchased at Outwater Plastics online.
Materials:
55gal Tough Tote (Quantity 1)
2.5" PVC Trim cut to 41 5/8" (Quantity 2)
1.5" PVC Trim cut to 21.5" (Quantity 2)
#10 x 2" wood screws for frame (Quantity 8)
#8 x 3/4" wood screws (Quantity 16+)
Tools:
Chop-saw or Coping saw
Drill
Screw driver

Been thinking of making a few of these myself - my biggest challenge will be getting the glass cut, local glass places are hard to find .
If you have a Lowe's near you they stock and cut glass.
Just get some acrylic glass
