IS THIS THE UNICORN OF ADVENTURE BIKES..?
So embarrassing in traffic. Everybody turns around.
Thanks for the info. Was worried after chasing primary oil with formula + that the dealer sold me it is much louder, double checked oil level, same loud clunk in 1st. I guess it's just a HD thing. Thanks again for the post.
Thanks for watching .
Well done mate!
Awesome. Getting one for my first bike, but in the yellow 👍.
Good choice!
Are they dot compliant from California that’s why I’m asking thank you
Hi..I'm not sure about California but in Australia they are. Thanks for watching
Does this risk contaminating your brake pads ?
I wouldn't think so..but was still careful not to spray on brake assembly..
Thanks guys . My tiger was exactly the same when checking oil . If ya had a arrow muffler it sounds even better
Good tip!
Late to the party here but thank you, I’ve been afraid to put the thing in gear in the mornings cuz that clunk sounds something’s breaking. Sounds expensive.
Glad I could help
have the Kawasaki VN 2000. Does CLUNK. Badly in 1st I'll take this advise and start in gear. Thx
Thanks for watching..
Mine must be in neutral to start, I'll try the next option.
What bothers me the most is your horrible CHIRP CHIRP. However, good tips for the clunk.
Thanks guys, just putting some guards on the Wife's new XT and good to know what to expect. Have sure enjoyed my visits to your country. Maybe one day on a motorcycle.
Our pleasure!
Thanks for sharing that . Love your bike.
Thanks…
Don’t come to Australia that’s tiny
Good bike don't have too many electric sensors, just ride on.
You guys are so funny _ I’ve got Factory Yam guards to fit on one of my Serows so video really helpful - Ange UK
Glad we made you day..we have a lot of fun making these videos, thanks for watching..
I don’t mind the clunk one bit. It reminds you that you’re on a Harley. They’re meant to have a bit of a mechanical feeling and sound to them. Rough and unrefined if you will. However if you’re around a bunch of smooth Jap bikes and are self conscious about it😂 then blip the throttle to put it in first as mentioned. Starting in gear puts extra strain on the starter especially if the primary oil and clutch is cold. Notice how the bike was pulling forward even with the clutch pulled in. The starter is driving the bike forward.
Great job. I'd to see how it works on proper oxidised (not rusty) spokes...
Clickbait
Purchased a new Softail custom back in 07. Shortly after purchased I changed out the dot 4 fluid and replaced it with dot 5 silicone fluid. I like the dot 5 because you don't have to worry about it eating up paint anywhere and it doesn't absorb moisture like the dot 4...
Waste of time watching this video.Comfort of seat? Seat, pegs, handlebar triangle? Seating position? Suspension travel? Vibration?
My Suzuki 1400 Intruder had a clunky gearbox too.
I would prefer wire wheels but i guess the cast ones are good enough for normal use.
Absolutely , and loose spokes..
non adjustable screen......its fixed...
Yes , thought it was..
more like a soaking of oil!! 😂
Thanks Mate! Great video!
Is that available here in the Philippines?
Sorry they come out of America
can't here you!!!!!
Nice video! Thanks! What kind of gloves do you wear? Do you recommand any gloves that are fully waterproof as the Scott jackat/pants?
Gore-Tex gloves are they way to go for waterproof gloves ..Revit and Dri Rider make some of the best , but even then we have had gloves leak at little in bad conditions…
Why have you got your gloves on the outside so the water runs down into your gloves , gloves should be warn on the inside?
Well spotted ..we don’t ride like that , video was all about how waterproof the jacket is..
If you want to stay dry you need to put gloves on the inside otherwise water will run down into the glove?
Be a mean bike wash. Or parts stripper 🤣🤣
Probably good when your getting a bit older too..
LCD screen it's oil cooled not air cooled with an oil cooler nothing like a HD.
Wow! That worked really well! I had light rust starting on my front exhaust pipe on the V Star. Along with dried bugs and all. I used this organic cleaner from amazon before hitting everything with McGuire's finishing polish and it shines like new.
Been told about that stuff before but I've also been warned about it deteriorating the rubber parts like in the wheel bearing and so forth
Yeah..just have to make sure you really rinse of well 😊
Thanks for the vid, looking at this seat for my 23 FXLRS. I'm finding the stock seat "vague... soft & squishy..." like most stock motorcycle seats. I prefer a firm, responsive seat. I'm 80kg. Would this be anything like I've described?
Hi, thanks for watching..absolutely it would be , it’s nice and firm but not to hard to be painful I really enjoy it. Looks fantastic as well 😊
@@kiwigrandtours I got one! I've donea few 300km days with it now and can easily say it is perfect for my needs. One thing that I was concerned about was if it would hold me from shooting out the back when giving it a poke... No problems :) Thanks for your video & reply - th-cam.com/video/pj83kfyXDck/w-d-xo.htmlsi=z28fwY-pNqfq1l59
Good info guys. I run the big chain with alarmed lock plus the disc brake lock
Thanks….Seems like you have it well sorted. 😊
It's a t-rump
hard to tell, did they say the fueling was close from the start?
There was a flat spot that was like a slight hunting around 50km once tuned it seemed to make that disappear from that range of speed and is smooth at 50kph in town riding now Cheers for watching :)
Hi, I have a 3rd Gen Tiger 800 as well (XCA) and am following this with much interest. What exhaust and air filter do you have and what are you looking to achieve with the tuning? Enjoy your videos - cheers
just seen the comment about the pipes you just fitted. What did the full system set you back $$
$2300 NZ$ Freight from UK and Italy was expensive ! Watch for part 2 coming out soon with the DYNOTUNE on it .
Hi mate. I will have the second video up shortly that shows what pipes and exhaust I had and one of them I was disappointed with bigtime !! Didn't do air filter
Told you there wasn't much to see in putaruru 😂😂.
Hey bro, good to hear from you . I have watched some of your vids. New Zealand's little towns ...love em !!
@@kiwigrandtours shit your keen (or bored shitless) if you've watched my crap🤣🤣
Great video! Quick question? Did you get the brake lights coming on in amber?
No just red for brake…
hrmm not sure if i want to look like a sack of potatoes.. Wonder how the breathability is though
Its not too bad for breathability ...I have had a lot worse like the Revit one piece suit that was a sweat box. Sometimes I wear the bottom Scott pants over my vented pants early in the morning and easier to take them off that thermals inside the pants when the temperature rises throughout the day.. LOVE the Scott stuff !
Out of stock on amazon
Darn, they come and go . I guess you have tried ebay etc as well. Still holding together well after two years now :)
That journey was epic. Thanks boys for show casing some roads that aren't for the light hearted.
Your right there…Thanks for watching 😀
great follow up - good on you, legend
Glad you enjoyed it
Great review - helped me decide on my gear. Good on you.
Thank you , you won't go wrong with these jackets and the pants as well !
cheap, easy to maintenance, good for semi of road, it's not the best or have fancy feature but relayabel best value & good all arounder 👍
We agree!
