Knipex Alligator vs Cobra vs Pliers Wrench
Quick review and demo of the Knipex Alligator, Cobra and Pliers Wrench.
The Knipex Alligator pliers are designed for gripping and turning objects, particularly in plumbing and mechanical work, thanks to their adjustable jaws that can handle various sizes. The Knipex Cobra pliers feature a unique self-locking mechanism, allowing for a secure grip on round and flat materials, making them ideal for tasks like plumbing and assembly. In contrast, the Knipex Pliers Wrench combines the functionality of a wrench and pliers, featuring a parallel jaw design that prevents damage to workpieces and provides a firm grip on fasteners.
While the Alligator is more suited for heavy-duty gripping, the Cobra excels in versatility with its one-handed adjustment. The Pliers Wrench is perfect for those needing to work with nuts and bolts without marring their surfaces, offering a precise grip without slipping.

    You didint mention it has that plus and minus adjuster and if you set it all the way to plus youre cutting some of the stranded wire strands, so be careful with it. Start all the way at Minus and if it doesnt strip properly adjust it little by little and try again. I have Jokari ones which are identical but way more expensive for some reason

    Works a ton better if you put the part in a plastic bag and use Isopropanol on it. Close the plastic bag and then put that in the water. It will take a lot of the things that the water didn't much faster! I'm sure you are aware of this. But for anyone that isn't.

    To remove the sticky build-up that comes with age on some types of plastic, simply take some plant-based oil. For example, Sunflower oil and rub the part that is sticky. Then you take a good lint-free cloth and simply start wiping away the stickers. No need to buy anything new. I have used the above progress several times myself, on, among other things, a Logitech Keyboard, a mouse, etc... It requires a bit of skill, but gives just as good a result as if you buy new.

    I’m 41, a hobbyist and DIYer. My existing tools are all pretty much over 20 years old, cheap and worn out. There’s nothing more frustrating than doing a job, finding you don’t have the tool or the one you have is inadequate. I’ve had enough. I’m starting to put together my forevermore tool kit. I’m hoping whatever I buy, it will the last time I will buy that tool in my lifetime. This is pretty much what I’m aiming for. One day maybe even these tools will be my sons and still serviceable.

Just be sure to protect them from rust and corrosion. What a nice goal to pass them down to your son. I’ve included links to all the tools in the description, so if you’re interested, feel free to check them out through my Amazon links. @ 11:34 - the only difference between those 2 screwdrivers is that the one that is the insulation larger than the the metal part is way cheaper to make! And they shouldn’t even exist! I really hate them + it’s way more annoying to use … that’s all ! You will never be able to break the other one with the flush plastic insulation just by twisting it ! The head will break sooner ;) I can tell you that after personally using more than 100 of them 😅 I replace mine at a maximum one year of daily use … Ps: the title is misleading - this video is just for beginners Who are just starting their career … It is not nice from you to make a clickbait title …. Do you mean the insulated type should not exist? 🤔 They exist because they are mandatory for electricians. For all other applications you use a normal one and that's it

    • @mihaiachim5299

      @ they should- but not the ones on witch the plastic part exceeds the metal part diameter

    • @effedrien
      @effedrien 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      And those with small diameter are useful for certain low voltage industrial terminal blocks, no need for excessive force and the insulation is to protect the circuit against short circuits . Because very often used on devices that cannot be powered down just like that

    • @effedrien
      @effedrien 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@mihaiachim5299 I would not be able to do my job without those, so they exist for a reason. It doesn't need to be stronger than those tiny multi level terminals in machines. The holes in the plastic above are even smaller than the actual screw head underneath. So you can't accidentally make them fall out. Those terminals can be hidden on the most service unfriendly places, and everything around is grounded and a short circuit could be an expensive matter

      You’re right, it does appear mostly spiral, but the "random" comes from the sander's design-specifically the offset weight and bearing, which create unpredictable, uneven oscillations. So while it seems spiral at times, the motion is inherently random within a "spiral" pattern.

      Not silly at all! Completelly get your concern for privacy. Yes! You can unsolder the microphones, or you can simply use a utility knife to cut the trace on the PCB that leads to the Mics. Just keep in mind this will void your warranty, and you may damage the device. What I can't comment on though, is how the onboard computer will deal with the lack of audio input. You may run into random issues or the system may log microphone errors and trigger diagnostic alerts. Regardless, they are cheap second hand so you don't have much to lose giving it a go!

      I haven't tried this, but I would assume it would work. Without joystick input though, the system might interpret static or noise as random signals, potentially causing erratic behavior on the computer depending on the effectiveness of its noise filtering.

      Love the pun! Might use this for a video title and compare the different Wera grips!

      I wouldn't recommend doing it as the copper winding may get damaged. Unless it's already broken, then go for it!

    I recall using one of those standard VDE ones to turn an adjustment nut... by bashing it with a hammer. Needless to say, not the smartest way to do it, but I had nothing else ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
