2024 folk musician-in-residence Renee Vaughan and the McNordiques brought their toe-tapping mix of French, Celtic, and Nordic music to Morphy Hall on the UW-Madison campus in early April.     My favorite Finnish American singer was always Leo Kauppi; he had this modern rough style, though he didn't write many songs. How nice that you preserve the Finnish American music heritage. It's close to my heart.

    My grandmother, from Småland Sweden sewed rya matta, I always heard it pronounced ree-ah mah-ta (rya rug). Love your video. My mother bought me a loom in Sweden and I have yet to use it, and now I must. I have made small rag rug style pieces on a lap loom. Thank you all! Täck så mycket.
