Here Varis visits Alur Murthy, a local entrepeneur in Mysore India to delve into the depths of Vegan soap making.
Organic cold pressed oils are used to make soap using the cold method.
Berberry Aristata powder, Tulsi powder and Lemon Peel powder are also added for their Ayurvedic properties. But "Ant-Hill" powder is actually from termite mounds found in the local area. This soil contains secretions from termites which according to Ayurveda is very effective in treating many skin disorders and establishes normal balance of the skin. No termites are harmed in taking the soil from the mounds. Three different types of soils are added - corresponding to the three doshas- Kapa, Pitta and Vata.
Alur Murthi is the alchemist and entrepeneur behind this recipe. He has a small organic farm outside Mysore in South India. He has collaborated with other farmers in the area to form a co-operative where they make several Ayurvedic products such as hair shampoos, tooth powder and 8 different varieties of soap.

Very poor technique and skills! How about quenching methods? For strengthening the edges and bevel? You must also include in your video!so that we knows if the quality is good or not!

One thing I advice you to improve your work is for quenching methods use bar soap of clothes.put the edges into the fire and become red and put the soap by wiping the edges of the knife put it again back to the fire for 5 seconds then take it and submerge the edges of the knife into the water and the edges it becomes white, this is the result of good quality for quenching methods.the purpose is to prolong the sharp of the edges while you use it for a Long period of time.
