Welcome to my TH-cam channel! I've started this to provide a bit more of a face to my business, Spinnywhoosh Graphics! This channel will consist of mainly my 95M Miata and mods I've done and will be doing to it as well well vinyl installation and other interesting projects I will be working on!

Brand New OEM Subaru Tail Lights Install.
Finally the car is back from paint and the projects continue! Since I picked up the car, the old worn out taillights have bothered the heck out of me! The driver's side was filled with water and both had surface cracks. Turns out Subaru still makes brand new OEM lights AND they come with all new wiring, seals and bulbs, SCORE!
Also in the car are some new floor mats that we sell, these are part of our Halloween collection and you can find all of our floormats here: spinnywhoosh.com/collections/car-floor-mats

Subaru Tree Pull - Fixing the Rear End
มุมมอง 610วันที่ผ่านมา
Bare with me through the countless video issues on this one! Pulling out the rear end was a success! Back story on this was that I was rear ended in stop and go traffic, my second day of owning the car omw to the DMV. Some luck. I have no idea if this was the correct position to put the straps, I'm guessing not since it simply pulled through the metal, but it did work!
New Project Car Reveal - Bugeye WRX!
มุมมอง 65514 วันที่ผ่านมา
Alright folks! This is it, the new #Spinnywhoosh project car, Sonny! An 03 #bugeyewrx with full #wrxsti swapped drivetrain with 6-speed and full STI interior. This car has been a rollercoaster so far. Within 2 days of owning it I was rear ended omw to the DMV which is why it’s taken so long to really post it here, and why I haven’t done a proper photoshoot. But for more progress into this build...
Farewell to the ND
มุมมอง 1K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Well, this is it... It's been a great year with this car but I think to sum up my decision to get rid of it is simply comes down to the fact that this car did not fill the massive void that the NA, my project of 10 years, had left. Sure, there was quite a bit of things to learn about the ND and new companies to discover and work with but I think it was time for different. If you couldn't tell, ...

Great job man. Been thinking about this wing and this makes me more confident in my potential purchase.

Looks super nice, Scotty! Glad you went with the big STi WANG! Don't forget the all-important Subie mod - a vape! LOL
@@toolman8269 love the big wang! It’s either big, or none. This is a similar one I’d like but gotta save up.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you order the new taillights from?
@@is_blue_subaru haha, he actually commented on this video. @cpages2 www.speedquestperformance.com/
Found you through the algorithm, looking forward to following this journey! @ryoga.sti
How much was the lights new?
He stated that he got both new tail lights for $310 shipped.
@@vwpluse $310/shipped! Came with wires, seals and bulbs. Cant beat that. Got them through www.speedquestperformance.com/
Thanks bro.. will check it out
Heyyyyyyyy
@@cpages2 look at that, already people asking where I got the lights 😁

@@Spinnywhoosh conflict of interest, violates my contract terms.
The only thing "Bose" about the stereo in the Miata is the Amp and the algorithm in it for sound processing. The drivers are still parts bin Mazda you would find in any Mazda car. The problem is not the speakers. Well yes. they are not great. But they are designed for the low power 8 watts a channel from the stock amp. To get any real improvement, you need to replace the amp and add some real power to the system. Too little power is way bigger problem then too much power.
You're not wrong, I still endorse Paco Motosports and their kit. If you've got an extra $600, do that!
saw this on facebook, i have a sonic yellow as well. congrats!
your ac works? jealous 😂😂😂
Im guessing a Lotus! 😁
Nice job, Scotty! Nothing like some back..err front yard shenanigans to save some money, especially when it works! Loved the excitement when the trunk finally latched correctly. Looking forward to more videos.
People won't like this (welcome to 2024) but I can appreciate just needing something to work on. I'm sure the Miata will go to a good home and this adopted Subaru will get a chance to live a decent life. Good content.
U can keep these videos wasting people time BOZO
Cannot wait to see what you do with the car dude!!!
I bought my first Subaru a few years ago and they are a amazing platform for modifications. The aftermarket and community support is huge.
I saw you posting about this bad boy on Facebook asking about the taillights!
Haha yep! I bought some used but found out after that brand new ones are only $100 more and after seeing how crispy they look in person, had to get a set. Lucky(kinda) the used tails I bought had a big as crack on the side... The seller said it could have been damaged in transit but I saw water droplets inside the lens soooo I don't think so and am returning them.
Funny how YT randomly recommended your channel today. I've been into Subies since about 2002, back in Anchorage, AK (currently in Phoenix, AZ, formerly in NY/NJ/MA). One buddy had an STI-swapped, JDM STI engine-swapped, yellow bugeye that got totaled. I'm only a fan of the bugeye when they have the blacked out headlights. Your car looks amazing! I'm subbed now and curious to see what you do. Don't change too much if you can help it. Also, I wondered if you were in Florida after I noticed the rear end damage from the front, so I chuckled when you went to the back and I saw Florida plates. lol Sorry about the accident, but glad it's taken care of so swiftly!
Haha, I guess the algorithm works sometimes. Thanks! I've wanted a bugeye since high school and never really thought I'd find one that wasn't completely ragged out. The Morette headlights are tempting but I love the cleanness of these JDM headlights. Not really sure what all I want to do with it tbh, these cars spent most of their life's riced out through the early 00's and the big flairs and chopped fenders is another bad trend so I'd love to keep it as clean as possible. I do plan on doing some LRB door panels since I partner up with them to install graphics but the car has a full STI interior as it is. The rebuild of the rear is going well. Had to pull it out more than I thought but it all lined up nicely and the bumper and trunk go to paint Friday. More content to come.
Love the Yellow Subie. Wish it was mine.
Good content as always!
Nice choice, Scotty! I've always loved the WRX models, especially the STI. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours.
That is a sick build, sad to see it go. How much you selling it for ?
@@kjwong4730 well I had it listed for $17k. It had a rebuilt title so ever with all the mods it may have been high. But I did a straight trade for the bugeye WRX
Props to you getting what you was looking for I sold my NA… and wanted to replace it with one of my high school dream cars. 7th gen Celica GTS 6 speed or Acura RSX Type S 6 speed. But there was none that was even remotely clean for sale. After back and forth I ended up getting back into a newer Miata. 16 GT in Ceramic Love the car… but part of me really wanted to experience one of the other cars I listed. Anyways… I am surprised you gave up the ND so quickly but I totally get it! The Subaru looks awesome! Looking forward to what you do with it
@@custom6speed907 haha, definitely a couple solid options and a 06 RSX was definitely just my list as well. But same thing, everything was ragged out in my area. This bugeye popped up and was actually one of the first guys I contacted. I had the car listed for $17k. May be a bit high with a rebuilt title but I was getting offers. The day after I traded for the bugeye I still had the ad up and someone contacted me with a HKS Supercharged BRZ with honestly I absolutely woulda traded for 😂 But the Subie has been great. First day owning took the kiddo out for ice cream. I’ll miss the ND but it’s better to not go the route of my NA and overmodify the shit out of it. It was at a good “completed point”.
This is the time where every loyal Miata owner either buys an M2 or a Porsche. I went the Bavarian route.
@@manny.camera hahaha yeah BMW sounds right. I was looking at older Audi S4s but the timing chain tensioner issues scared me off. But the very first person I reached out to trade actually got back with me and now the proud owner of a bugeye Subaru!
Funny after having quite a few Miatas in the last 15 years, the progression obviously has as an M3 (meh at most and overrated).. then a Porsche Boxster S (one of the worst cars I ever had.. no soul.. poor quality..less than meh)… now I am back in a Turbo ND Miata.. loving it.. 👍
@@Spinnywhooshmy daily is a B8.5 S4 with lots of mods.. awesome car.. waaay faster than most M3 and Porsches.. my weekend toy is my ND turbo Miata
Are you selling the wing by any chance? Or is that going with the ND?
@@ball4life850 went with the car. It was a bit faded tbh. I do still sell the brackets and can find the wing through FTspeed.
McLaren 570S Spyder please? ;)
@@DaveSimkus let’s goooo!
You've done a great job with it, Scotty. Far more than I originally thought could be possible with the ND. When I went from NA to ND, the biggest change for me was that the ND basically didn't really "need" anything, at least not super urgently. A stubby antenna was all I changed in the first month. When I had the NA I always wanted a little Garage Vary lip on the front, larger wheels, better tires. The USDM ND comes with a lip, and much better rubber than I could find for a 14" wheel on the NA. It has a decent stereo, although I do plan to hack it where it will allow the touch screen to be more functional. The inexpensive things that I can do to mine are mostly modules to plug into it to change certain behaviors of the car, like when windows go up or down automatically. Which is like a totally different mindset than what the NA was like, where we'd have to twist wires and solder things. The only really solid "must have" that I have planned for the future on my ND is probably an exhaust since the factory muffler is so silent.
@@BryceWomeldurf yeah that sounds about right. Literally everything done was not a necessity. Well, except for the sway bars. If you’re going to do ONE thing, do sway bars! The front is a monster though. If you do it yourself, I recommend cutting out the OEM one. The car was already lowered on springs when I got it and felt great. Ended up finding coilovers for a deal but wasn’t needed tbh.
@@Spinnywhoosh yeah, that's what I've heard. Which sway bar did you end up going with?
@@BryceWomeldurf I believe progress from Goodwin. It came with the car, just wasn't installed so I'm not sure. They're all about the same.
Horrible!!!
Agreed, don't do it unless you plan on taking your bumper off a lot. 😂
Lmaoooo 😂💀 just got my door cards wrapped! Thanks again for the blue sour patch kid 🤙

@Spinnywhoosh I'm making up a cool little video I'll post it soon!
@@Quick_Scoped That's what I like to hear!
Couldn't you access the bolt through the cover on top rather than going down?
Donno, but this is how I did it! Give it a shot, pretty sure there was a reason I did it this way.
what about showing footage of actual finished headliner installed inside of the car?
Bother this video is 4 years old. I do have a bunch of photos of finished products over the years on the product page.
Hi, where can I get the spoiler?
That's a good question. The one company I was referring people to no longer sells them. And ever one I've ordered from China has arrived completely destroyed due to back packaging.

Nice Scott! Thinking of some racing black stripes for my 91 white NA🤔
Yessss, do it! If anything, just a time lapse. I know talking on camera is what turns most people from doing it.
Brother I tried like 10 times on 2 separate days and the wing just won’t fit 😂 probably gonna have to part ways with it unfortunately
What about the headrest speakers? Is there a replacement for the bose trash ?
I really haven't looked into it TBH. They've been fine for me. But my door speakers were blown so those needed to go.
Maybe it just take you a minute to take it apart, but for us who doesnt wanna break or scratch anything it will take hours😂 You handl it like you stole the car, if i did it lije you i am sure i woukd break several clips😅
How big is the opening for the lights??? I want to put some brighter lights in when i get my grill!!!!
Ya know, I've been thinking about doing this as well! I want to say 4" jeep lights should work. Most likely will do a video in the near future. Because they are indeed not that bright.
An expression of her inner self.
They have great gas mileage
Why replace a woofer/midrange driver with coaxial? Btw, paper cones are not a bad thing. In many ways far superior sonically to vinyl or composite materials.
Welcome back Scotty !! keep up the great work
Wow! Talk about stress! 😮 glad to hear wife is doing well! Didn’t hit the gap this yr. Maybe next! Looking forward to seeing you this winter!
Wireless trailer lights from harbor freight for the win
Super cool you didn't do a sound test before and after. 😅 But thanks for showing the simplicity of the install.
Thought about it but what's the point? The sound is coming from your phone.
@Spinnywhoosh you're right. Who thinks they can audition speakers through thier phone or computer.
@@jellef4704 Right?!?! I've had a few people now ask why I didn't. Like why would I?! It isn't going to sound any different coming through your phone.
For some reason I have always thought one of those would be a great beater car lol
It really wasn't the worst thing ever. It'd suck to only be able to afford something like this but as a beater it wasn't bad. But to own something of this size, I'd probably go for a Honda Fit!
@Spinnywhoosh how much force did you have to apply to the CravenSpeed Pivot Cup to get it to seat into the shift housing? I am having the same issue as you mentioned at aprox time-stamp 15:28. The only difference is no amount of pressure that I apply will allow it to seat without being permanently stuck in the shift housing. The good/bad news is CravenSpeed is sending me another kit but they are saying that my complaint about this issue was the first time they had ever heard this when clearly it's not based on your experience. My understanding is that plastic ring called a Pivot Cup should just drop into place without the need to tap/force it into the shift housing. Thanks Mike
Really wish I put my ebrake down for this video, lol. Learned a lot since this video. I don't believe I applied much pressure at all. Looks like I just tapped it into place
Thank you
Do you guys replace the speakers in the headrest?
Nope, I don't mind those speakers.
@@scottsimsa I’m surprised, I feel they are the worst ones
