Fantastic Ford Consul , we had one, remember my parents took it on holiday to Scotland touring, when they came back took it hot of the drive with 2 friends + giant army tent down to St Ives Cornwall. Never missed a beat never burnt the wheel bearings out like later Fords, they were a superb FORD PRODUCT very well built, the engines were very good, bit of valve bounce if you over did it, but they cruised well. Superbly reliable everything so easy to maintain.
Like many Fords of that era it had those hopeless vacuum windscreen wipers. Need to go faster when it is raining, accelerate and the wipers stop! Only Fords could design something that stupid.
I agree vacuum wipers are hopeless but Ford did NOT design them! That dubious accolade goes to Joseph Lucas who designed the system in the 1920's for the Austin Motor Co. I remember my grandfather owning two Austins in the late 1950s and early 1960's complaining about the wipers. So NO! It wasn't only Fords!!

A seventy five, I presume. (color) Take note, the center points advance timing as it wears. (burn a hole in the top of the piston) Don't mix different brands of injection oil. It is certainly clean, bright, and colorful. Happy motoring.
I kinda like it. The four rear-view mirrors are most interesting: the ones mounted on the fenders are supposed to show incoming cars without the driver having to move his look away from the road, and the ones mounted high-up on the doors probably look down at nearby curbs to help with parallel parking. Very clever system, a lot of old cars have it, I wonder why it's not in use anymore. Probably because of pedestrian safety concerns.
My neighbour had one supplied by his employer The Coop Funeral Home, Gravesend He was the only house with a car on a road of semi-detached houses in the village of Chalk just outside Gravesend
