    You're doing it wrong man, too many springs and you're not strong enough for all 5. You're meant to FULLY extend your arms out as far as they'll go, ie expand. You're not even really working your muscles by half expanding. There's dozens of exercises you can do, but all of entail getting full resistance. If you're doing a chest exercise like at the start of this video, your arms should be fully extended at shoulder height and the springs should be touching your chest. You can do the same behind your head to work on your back muscles. You're setting people up for failure and/or injury in this video, the tension is clearly too much for you and that leads to muscle injuries. I suggest watching a few videos from people who know what they're doing before uploading something so amateur that could lead to people getting hurt. And seriously, invest in a better expander, that plastic one looks like it could give way at any point and you could lose an eye. You've obviously already lost a clip and bodged it back up (the 3rd spring) which suggests it's already had a failure. Get an all metal one, not cheap Chinese plastic tat. This video needs reporting really, someone's gonna do themself a mischief following your badly conceived 'advice'. I'm sure you're a nice bloke and all but leave stuff like this to an expert, you don't mess around when it comes to exercise equipment. Always warm up first too, or it won't just be your Fisher Price expander that snaps.

      If you want more definition or just want to lose weight just do that. You do weight exercises (in this case pushups and bench press because the chest expander actually is for your arms) for mass. You do cardio and diet to lose weight.it is as simple as that(simple,not easy) you cant really target an area that diesnt really work i suggest just trying to lose more fat by doing what i said and then you do chest exercises( i suggested 2 of them) (or the other way around)(btw the chest expander kinda gets its name from the way the exercise it was ment for looks - the tool itself expands across your chest-this also should happen when you have proper form which this guy does not because of the weight which could be changed by removing springs)

    It's good to stretch.. but with this much tension there is no complete expansion and contraction on muscle which is basic requirement for muscle growth. This much tension only affect your joints... I hope next time you will improve 👍👍

      stretch is not a requirement even though it is a good way to do it. Depending on the exercise you are actually stretching a lot.
