A lot of the examples of schools used in these videos are of schools that had low enrollment. It made sense to close those schools and consolidate them. LISD is discussing closing current schools who have high enrollments of 475 students per school, great staff, exemplary rated A campuses. You cannot compare apples to oranges. Consolidation will be bad for those schools who have consistently maintained enrollment and have provided a quality education! Schools like Ramirez and Wilson amongst others! Ramirez and Wilson are on the consolidation list. No disrespect to the schools in the videos but they are not A rated academic schools. If you want to see their academic score just type the school name and HAR. Consolidation is not always a good thing for our students!

My sister, brother, and I lived at 2404 Ave T. during the formative time of our lives. We three kids went to Dupre, and our family attended Asbury Methodist across the street. My sister started in 1943, I in 1950, and my younger brother in 1951. We were raised by a cop and a nurse, so we could get away with nothing. They were the best parents a kid could have and would correct, but only with words.

As a VI person this inspires me a lot every day. And I'm also a woodwind player I play the sister instrument of the clarinet which is the saxophone, hopefully one day I will be able to make a program, for not just blind folks but for people with special needs, and since it is an athletic sport I will try to make it become part of Special Olympics Texas, and I will also help him direct the band and help him become the band director, he really wishes to be. ❤ Go Reshirup or Reshidup?!! :D
