Yes I know very original but I wanted to make one anyway Hehe. This isn't going to be like the only thing I'm going to work on by the way, just something I might come back to every now and again. I have several other smaller project ideas that I'm excited to start :)

I tried to increase the brightness in some areas as the game could be quite dark, sorry about that. sorry about the inconsistent audio quality, for some reason my mic was acting up. I tried my best to fix it but it is what it is. I planned to put out a game dev video but due to having surgery soon i wasn't gonna make it in time before that so i decided to put this out as it was quicker to edit.

From 47 to over nearly 1.1k subs. Amazing! I recently started to learn godot(about a week or so now) and I’ve did the project that Clear Code did for the “ultimate introduction to Godot 4” 2 part tutorial. Got all the way to the end with some roadbumps along the way using google and the comment section to work out the problems, except one which stumped me and the grenade would damage me when shot after the first one gets shot. I considered this as a great point to go start Branno’s Vampire Survivors clone tutorial playlist, at part 9 right now the javelin I’ll start after writing this. Speaking of, I got into contact with them last night and got the completed source code fixed for a few files that got messed up 2 years ago. I have to say I’m glad I did it this way, because I’m understanding more of how things work and interact, and utilizing some of the previous knowledge I gained, and I’ll most likely go do the same rpg tutorial you mentioned as well, to really set a solid foundation.

Just finished playing though it one, things to note: 1. The walls feel sticky/i get stuck in them even when i feel i should be far enough from them 2. in the exit of level 1, the one that is a hallway woth arrows, if you are middle and a little to the right you get stuck 3. It felt weird to me that i cant zoom while running, but htat is posibble that is only me 4. i jumped on the highway bit with the leaves sound D:

As someone who hasn't played these type of games and isn't personally a major fan i definitely think that it's a good idea to add puzzles. Overall its looking great though. Also I laughed so hard at the monitor bit at the end, too relatable lol.

@PotatoDev-pz2wv i love his game too! Remember that he also started where you are, awhile ago (ive been watching him since his first backrooms video) and all he does is just add updates as he learns more! (Btw you should stream to YT lol)

I'm excited to continue working on it and hopefully improve it more and more :D I would love to start streaming sometime in the future but it might be a little difficult with time zone issues but its definitely something i want to look into!

For saving and loading you can edit, load and, save resources to user:// instead of res:// which saves it to the users disk (%appdata%/Godot/Game Name/Name Of Resource That You Set.res) I recommend watching a video about custom resources (spoiler it’s just variables in GDScript with a class name) for your save system
